I've used Lemmy more in the past 12 hours than I have in the past month since signing up. All because of Sync.
  • I'm all for people liking a certain UI/UX and supporting the dev but seriously, putting ads on fucking Lemmy? This is just so wrong

What's the point on not using reddit's mobile app then? I was using a 3PA because I couldn't stand the ads and now comes someone to put ads on an app for Lemmy jfc

What game feels 'timeless' to you?
  • Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Minish Cap, I rarely play things twice but those two are just so pretty and well done. I play them every few years.

I'd like to try Chrono Trigger but for some reason I just can't get into it

Have you ever rekindled a friendship after losing touch? How'd it go?
  • I've tried several times but it always ends up in just losing touch again as we used to have a common place to frequent, so most of those friendships were due to location. I used to be best friends with a guy for around 7 years in elementary and middle school, found him a decade later, messaged him, everything goes well and we talk on the phone, game a bit but after a few weeks everything just goes silent.

We tried to rekindle two more times but I guess not going to the same places daily or working together makes friendships almost impossible.

What's the point of buying new phones every years?
  • I upgraded twice from Redmi note 7 to Redmi note 9 to poco X4, only reason I updated was because my siblings lost their phones and I saw it as an opportunity to try a newer version of something I liked.

I don't think I'll upgrade unless the new phone also has an IR blaster and headphone jack. The IR blaster is so incredibly convenient

    Thanks!
  • Seeing this community made me try Linux once more and learn more about hosting.

Installing Mint sucked since my computer was not apparently going to BIOS, as it was not displayed ob my monitor until I plugged a second monitor through the Displayport

If Lemmy and Mastodon continues to get popular, we will eventually get Instance wars.
  • As long as there are individuals, groups will be sought after and created based on the need of belonging and the need to different from another group

What from reddit do you hope to never see on lemmy?
  • I actually liked megathreads, they usually meant big news and I didn't have to read 20 posts about the same thing.

But what I disliked about reddit was when trolls from some subreddits would spam CP to get other subreddits closed
