Now the Ukraine thing is complete.
  • No, Bolsonaro refused to accept defeat, he tried everything to reverse the election results. Until the Army, the Air Force and the neoliberal Ghouls told him to accept defeat. Even so, he still tried to stage a coup in the government on January 8th.

And unlike in the US, there was an actual document that the military wanted Lula to sign in order to order the army to take over the government. It's a bit like the one they made Pedro Castillo sign, but it's not the same thing.

Lula decided not to sign and chose to use his powers as president to intervene in state security and order the police to repress and arrest the Bolsonaro supporters. And so they ended up being arrested, forced to shower and vaxxed.

Now the Ukraine thing is complete.
  • He did, but he got "sick" and went to a hospital. Then he saw the medical bill, then he got healthy again really fast after that, and his visa expired so he had to return to Brazil. And some weeks later he lost his political rights until 2030 (He lost it two times, now he can't run in 2030, which means his rights will only return in 2034).

Israel-Gaza war: only a two-state solution can bring real peace, China president says in first public speech on conflict
  • Most of the world thinks that the two-state solution is the best compromise for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, probably not the best solution, but if they find a way to do it right.

Besides, it would be very interesting to see Israel crumble with the decline of the US, and Palestine prosper with BRICS+ and the Road and Belt initiative.

    Argenina's new president and BRICS
  • He doesn't have any support on the legislative, and he said he'll cut relations with both Brazil and China. He'll probably be dead in 6 months lol.

    Argenina's new president and BRICS
  • So now Argentina is controlled by a dead dog?

Yes... Actually no, it would actually is controlled by the same neoliberals that Milei said he was going to destroy. Mauricio Macri and Patricia Bullrich, the two people responsable for the current economical crisis.

But why do people choose him?

Socdems said they wouldn't pay the IMF loans, but then they decided to pay it. The economy started to collapse shortly after this, and they are suffering from a really bad drought which doesn't help their economy.

Gabe Newell on why game delays are okay: 'Late is just for a little while. Suck is forever.'
  • Gabe was talking about the making of Half Life, back when you shipped your disc and that was that. And the game was, apparently, crapola.

There were patch and updates back in the day. The problem was that not everybody had a good internet connection or a connection at all, during the 90's.

Games like Daikatana and SiN were flops due to bugs that required patches to fix.

US Vetoes UN Resolution for Ceasefire in Gaza
  • without giving a coherent explanation for the second veto

They said that they vetoed because "Brazil didn't say that Israel has a right of self-defense".

US broadly eases Venezuela oil sanctions after election deal
  • Gustavo Petro and Lula da Silva had been talking to Biden since they were elected about lifting the sanctions. I think Spain was supporting it too.

The only thing left to do is to reinstate Venezuela as a member of Mercusur.

Nobel Prizes are a sham and super Anglo and Eurocentric
  • During World War II, Hamsun put his support behind the German war effort. He courted and met with high-ranking Nazi officers, including Adolf Hitler. Nazi Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels wrote a long and enthusiastic diary entry concerning a private meeting with Hamsun; according to Goebbels Hamsun's "faith in German victory is unshakable".

In 1940 Hamsun wrote that "the Germans are fighting for us". After Hitler's death, he published a short obituary in which he described him as "a warrior for mankind" and "a preacher of the gospel of justice for all nations."

After the war, he was detained by police on 14 June 1945, for treason, then committed to a hospital in Grimstad (Grimstad sykehus) "due to his advanced age", according to Einar Kringlen (a professor and medical doctor). In 1947 he was tried in Grimstad, and fined. Norway's supreme court reduced the fine from 575,000 to 325,000 Norwegian kroner.

The whereabouts of Hamsun's medal remain unknown.

    Sure. Why not. Anything goes.
  • The People's Republic of Korea was basically the Korean government in exile during World War II. I think they merged into the DPRK after the US refused to let them take control of South Korea, even though they were the legitimate government of Korea.

Jimmy Carter: The U.S. Is an “Oligarchy With Unlimited Political Bribery”
  • Every now and then Jimmy Carter tells the truth, but he's still a pos who helped create neoliberalism and destroyed Afghanistan by arming terrorist groups, ended Nixon's détente with the Soviets and almost invaded Iran.

I remember him saying how the USA screwed up North Korea, that it was the US's fault. He did the same in Cuba, Venezuela and Syria. I think that since he's already 100 years old and no longer has any power or influence within his own party, and most people hated him when he was president, he doesn't care anymore if the CIA is going to kill him. He can just tell the truth and there's no problem. He can just tell the truth and nobody will care.

Potential disaster awaits Haiti as U.S. prepares for armed intervention
  • This whole situation is the fault of the US and France. This is their 4th invasion of Haiti, they never solve anything, they just do this shit to further oppress the Haitian people and steal more of Haiti's resources.

The only time anything good came out of these interventions was the restoration of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, who seemed to be the only recent head of state who actually cared about Haiti. And even then, the United States removed him from power in 2004.

The Soviets also had non-aggression pacts with the UK and France and, together with the UK, invaded and occupied Iran to prevent it from allying itself with Germany.

  • IIRC, France had a secret agreement with the Soviets under which they would both defend Czechoslovakia in the event of a German invasion. But the plan depended on the support of the United Kingdom and Italy, which refused to help. In addition, Poland refused to allow Soviet troops to enter its territory to help Czechoslovakia.
