Why YAML sucks?
  • I dream of a life where I use YAML but all my configs are stuck in XML. People can complain but there's always worse options.

The Smurfs – Dreams – Gameplay Trailer
  • Probably tapping into the "Grand parents buying games for their grandchildren" market.

I guess my nephew made a "Smurf House" at art camp over the summer too. Idk how much exposure he has aside from that.

Recommendation engine: Downvote any game you've heard of before
  • It was pretty good, but I got stuck on an annoying mission and dropped it. Really wish that dev had just made grimrock 3, but I respect not wanting to do the same thing over and over...

What’s a game you can 100% without hating by the end?

    My (re)discovery of roguelites
  • Tbf, it's possibly a little nicer on desktop, some of the buttons are a bit small on mobile though not bad. It's nice having a couple things that I can play on phone though.

Also the combat is so bad it encouraged you to avoid it whenever possible.

Mark Meer Wants More People To Play As FemShep In Mass Effect
  • If I have the option to play as a woman in an rpg, I almost always take it. Not really sure why.

Not tabletop though. Not really sure why.

Moonring on Steam (free beer alert)
  • It's only kind of a rogue like from what I could tell. It doesn't really have permanent death, though the dungeons are random each time you enter so if you die in one you need to start anew in there.

    It's cool though

  • blog.ryujinx.org Progress Report September 2023

Gather once more at the three-quarter mark, for beyond this point, your days become dark. September was an unusually quiet month for our friends publishing games with the only games of note being a rather underwhelming Baten Kaitos remaster, alongside a questionable Mortal Kombat 1. At least the la...
