Picked it up because of this post, and I'm really enjoying it. You really get a sense of the "weight" of the creature as you move around corners and through narrow spaces and it's nauseating, in the best way. Reminds me a lot of John Carpenter's The Thing.
I can't be sure this was the primary use-case that the AI inventors envisioned, but it's hard to argue that it's not successful at this. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
... for him, in the US, in that situation, it would probably be best to get a gun himself and the next time the guy does something like this, just two to the chest. ... Seeing he has a restraining order and whatnot previous things, probably should be somewhat of an easy case to defend as self-defense, right? Unless it's just even fucking sadder, and it is just because he's black and he'd just end up imprisoned for murder.
"Imprisoned for murder" might still be on the optimistic side of potential outcomes... He could well be murdered himself, by the police, in reponse to what you and I see as self-defense. (I am guessing from the "in the US" part of your comment and other context that you aren't from here, and may not be aware of the history of institutionalized racism that would make any interaction with the police potentially dangerous for him. Forgive me if I have erred there.)
There's a reason the lyrics are "Some of those who work forces burn crosses."
I think you dropped this:
are the same that
to start to delegitimize the illegitimate J6 committee
How does one delegitimize that which is already illegitimate? 🤔
Gotta save some "features" for the Premium version.
How the fuck do you accuse someone of being a terrorist and then threaten to blow them up?
Same way you claim your political opposition is committing widespread voter fraud, and then yours is the only party ever caught doing it.
Same way you accuse trans folks of being "child groomers," when the vast majority of cases involve men from your own political party or religious group.
Same way... Well, you see where this is going.
Right up there with Chewbacca Mom.
I love walking sims, exploration games, and mysteries... Kona was such a great title. Really moody and atmospheric. Looking forward to picking up the sequel soon, maybe during this sale. Thanks for sharing!
In some circles, obsessing over youths' genitalia is considered uncouth.
"I pulled some strings, and I got The List. In fact, I've got it right here with me now."
* Pulls napkin from his pocket *
"Hey, would you look at that -- Kamala Harris, right at the top, just as I suspected... Joe Biden, yep, that tracks... Wow, ALL of the Clintons, how about that? And not surprisingly, Donald J. Trump is definitely nowhere to be found on the Epstein List. Welp, there ya have it everybody."
This is a great summary of the game, I just wanted to add on that you don't necessarily have to start a new character for expeditions. They added the "Expedition Terminus" in the Space Anomaly a few updates back, which lets you start the expedition from an existing save.
That said, I always start a new character, because those first couple hours where I'm trying to get on my feet are always the most challenging for me, and that keeps the game fresh by pushing me outside my usual style of engaging with the game.
Doesn’t seem to be livin,’ until he bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white, and then...
It'd be great if Churches allocated a little time to preaching the value of critical thinking skills so that their congregation wasn't so susceptible to misinformation, but then... Well, you know.
Yeah, but he also killed the guy who killed Hitler.
Looking forward to this one! I like when they disable key systems to mix things up and challenge your habits.
I agree with you about how it should be. I was merely pointing out how it is.
I respect that he points out that stuff too, but... Supply and demand, right?
Donald Trump is “safe following gunshots in his vicinity” Sunday, his campaign said. Officials believe an armed person intended to target the former president, sources say. Follow here for the latest.

D23 is a biannual event where Disney reveals their plans for parks, media, and other entertainment. D23 2024 took place this past weekend, and there were a lot of big announcements. In an effort to draw contrast with previous D23 events which included some highly speculative plans, Disney Experiences Chairmen Josh D'Amaro prefaced the Imagineering project announcements by saying:
> “Everything we share here tonight is in active development. This isn’t Blue Sky. We’re doing all of it.”
I haven't found a singular, concise list of all the announcements in one place, so I'm trying to compile it all here. Please chime in if you see I missed anything, or if you're particularly hyped (or particularly not hyped) about any of these announcements!
Parks
-
Magic Kingdom
- Villians-themed land to be added, adjacent to Frontierland. There's some concept art and "two new attractions planned as well as dining, shopping and more."
- Two Cars attractions to be added in Frontierland. There's some concept art for that as well. Not a mirror of the existing Cars Land or Radiator Springs Racers, but similar in concept to the latter. The concept art seems to indicate that this attraction will entirely replace the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island attractions.
- Disney Starlight, a new night-time parade, premiers Summer of 2025.
-
Animal Kingdom
- Tropical Americas Land to replace Dinoland USA (concept art here), set to open in 2027, with at least two new attractions planned:
- An Indiana Jones ride, which will replace the Dinosaur ride. Seems to re-use the existing ride vehicles and looks similar to Indiana Jones Adventure, but "will be an all-new adventure, unlike any of the existing Indy attractions around the world."
- An Encanto dark-ride that "takes place inside Casita on the day after young Antonio receives his gift of communicating with animals."
-

A very candid look at the development of the "BDX Droids" that were play-tested at Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland late last year. Thought it was really interesting and fun!
