Trump losing sleep over polling numbers days before election
  • I do. At 60%, it’s drawing 3/5 cards. I wouldn’t take that chance. At 70%, it’s 3/4. There’s always a chance of the 1/4, sure. But I expect it to happen.

That’s part of why I’m so uncomfortable right now. I wouldn’t take a coin flip.

  • “Any Muslim”? “Countrymen?” “Dumbest thing”?

It feels like “Trust me I know what’s best for you, foreigner” vibes.

And that seems to be a theme in the Democratic Party. “Vote for me, the other guy is worse” but then just maintain the status quo. But how are they representing interests of their voting bloc?

Don’t get me wrong, I’d vote for a literal flaming pile of shit over Trump.

  • I happen to live in a Republican controlled district in one of the swing states. The people who are enthusiastic about Trump are extremely enthusiastic. As in, flying Trump-Vance flags in their truck down a major thoroughfare.

And, the Muslim population here may very well not be bluffing and vote for Trump instead of Harris - or simply not vote at all. The Israel-Gaza issue is HUGE here.

Unless our major city pulls through for us, Trump will win our state.

The odds are also stacked against Harris based on how electoral votes are counted. If you ask me who I think will win the popular vote, I think Harris will win. It’s just that the game is so stacked, and Republican controlled regions are, well, making it hard to vote.

Did I mention SCOTUS is not impartial?

  • Yep. And I think he will win too. I’ve been playing with the ABC/538 and Harris’ chances just seem so slim to me.

I just want to see something reassuring at this point.

How does someone send a phishing email using a legitimate domain? (`notification.intuit.com` in this case)
  • Even if you do have DKIM, DMARC, and SPF someone can still spoof your domain and the admin will still get an email about it. After that, instructions are unclear since the receiving domain is rejecting it properly.

    Ask me how I know

Do you screw in both bolts on VGA cables, just the top one or ignore them altogether?
  • I don’t screw them in unless it’s in a confined location where the cable is applying pressure to unseat, or if it’s fallen off at least once

Why the ‘little secret’ between Trump and Speaker Johnson matters
  • Man I thought Johnson was a traditional crazy religious right guy. He at least seems like he cares about the country, at least in his own twisted view. Too bad he’s a Trumper

Putin says it is our affair if Russia uses North Korean troops
  • I mean, yes, Putin should have never begun the war to begin with. Those countries aren’t going to leave NATO if Russia leaves Ukraine today.

Putin says it is our affair if Russia uses North Korean troops
  • Man, to drop decorum, I don’t give a shit about the Russians and angering them. I’m just trying not to give Russia a pretext to do something really fucking stupid. Yes, they can perform false flag operations for their own pretext.

Joining an active war without a prior alliance is an escalation. To keep NATO defensive and not to bring them into an active war, there should be a different agreement signed.

Hell, NK joining the war is an escalation by both NK and Russia. Does this justify NATO adding Ukraine just for them to immediately invoke article 5? I don’t think so.

Regardless of ethics and politicking though, someone HAS to be done to show Russia that it can’t just arbitrarily annex parts of other countries.

I can’t help but think that cars (EV included) just aren’t the answer. I feel like bikes aren’t the answer either. I feel like the metro and high speed rail are.

Most people don’t drive because they like driving (US), most people drive because they have to. And that sucks. You shouldn’t feel like you’re forced to drive. Because that’s auto insurance and auto registration that you have to pay.

You can’t eliminate roads altogether. You need at least one or two lanes for fire trucks, ambulances, garbage trucks, etc. but you can create pockets of no car zones.

People like me who like cars, should be able to have places we store our cars. We should have places where we can explore the limits of our cars instead of driving through traffic. But that should be a strictly extracurricular activity.

In the no car pockets, you should be able to walk to a grocery store, hardware store, that has what you need. You should be able to have mixed zoning. Single family units shouldn’t be the norm. If I own a car but it’s not my dedicated form of transportation, I can buy a cooler car and I don’t need a garage next to where I live to store it. I can store it outside no car pockets so that I can take public transport to my car and then take my car to the track.

Yes, it’ll take awhile to get there but why aren’t we doing more to that end? Am I too idealistic?

    I’ve seen:

    • .social
    • .world
    • .cuz

Is it due to cheaper registration and/or renewal fees? Or are there simply more availability on those TLDs?
