Hi there. Not completely sure if this is the cause of origin, but apparently when a post has bullet point lists the formatting goes off the available space and the text gets cut off. Hope this report helps.

Memmy 0.5 - Should be available later int the day
  • I just noticed a feature that I would like to see on Memmy. When you tap one of the bottom nav buttons (like Feed), it gets you to the top; it would be really nice that once you’re at the top, a double tap could refresh the feed without having to pull down the feed itself.

Memmy 0.5 - Should be available later int the day
  • For a moment there I thought the update broke the app as I just opened it after updating and nothing loaded… apparently it was just a coincidence with the usual lemmy.ml overload lol

Kudos for the hard work on the backend, I know these are not usually the most flashy updates but are also crucial for performance and scalability, so congratulations for the hard work!

We should start calling u/spez by his real name. Because most people won’t know who he is if he shows up somewhere else in future.
  • Or at least in the post description lol, thanks to you I know his name now.

Bug - follow system theme is laggy
  • Similar experience here. I set the app to follow the system config, so during the day and I open Memmy, it first shows with the dark theme and then switches to light; same thing the other way around, it first opens with light theme on the night, them switches to dark.

Hope that’s clear enough 😅 english is not my native language.

  • In Whakoom, a spanish website to keep track of your comics collection, they have this functionality to add different editions to the same book, so they are linked and you can search other editions when you’re seeing the book details.

Floating button to skip to next comment
  • Alexandrite (a website, desktop-first Lemmy interface) just added this feature in yesterday’s update. And yeah, it would be really nice to have this on Memmy.
