@kingshrubb every time an article like that drops, it amazes me how divided the US is. I just can't wrap my head around how so many people would die for a fascist politician like that.
@Archie9005 love your art style!
@fossilesque looks like federation is broken, so I can't directly reply to your comment, but :xq is save and quit, :q! is quit without saving.
@fossilesque id just swap the vim commands :xq and :q! and watch the world burn
Can confirm, It did autofill "Design an image of a potato". Have no idea why Microsoft tried to be so ambitious with such a complex thing as a potato.
Why was this child not offered some support music, or anything that could help them sing?
I just set up lidarr with all artists I like listening to and tell it to download everything they've made. That's how I have about 700gb of flac files
From what I've noticed while on commutes is that most commersial stuff is electric. Busses, company vehicles and other transportation has switched to electric, but long haul trucks have not. I assume that's because of the energy density of diesel for stuff like transportation of heavy products.
I suggest you become a fish...
I assume this is because people link to other websites like Twitter, so twitter's trackers get mixed in with analytics for lemmy
I guess one pro to decentralized federated instances is the fact that noone can block them completely. And if one gets blocked, another one can spin up and deliver the same content.
im just surprised that there weren't any checks that could have prevented an unknowing customer from exposing their devices. Nothing on the fiber modem was labeled, so im kinda worried how many things could be potentially exposed
I was trying to troubleshoot a home networking issue, and I plugged my laptop's Ethernet cable into the second bridge port. I thought it would recognize that the device wasn't a router and assign a local IP address behind a firewall. Nope. Windows was assigned an external one. I suppose now I have the option to have my self-hosted services hosted on a different IP address. Kinda scary that my isp just allows unknowing customers to expose their equipment to the net If you're wondering, yes, I did change the IP addresses before posting this
Seedyznuts
I'm sorry
I had a fun little issue a while back where my isp replaced our fiber modem to one that didn't allow for port forwarding. The settings were missing but when I set up dmz host on that to allow our equipment to work again, I noticed it was behind some nat in their system. I found out I could call them to get functionality restored for a fee, but instead I plugged in the old box and still keep an external ip with port forwarding enabled and no nat. To be honest the old one has been a lot less stubborn as it doesn't drop every 10th packet on the network. I switched back about 6 months ago, and I've not had any issues, so we'll see when they call demanding me to plug in the new one. Their explanation for switching systems was that their old one wasn't powerful enough for gigabit speeds, even though both have interfaces for gigabit sfp. After some testing, the old one was more capable and stable at those speeds. I assume they wanted to switch systems due to some licensing thing, or to get more money from the .5% of people who care about these features.
I found this gel like thing on a beach in Malaga. It seems like they are connected in chains, and it looks like some of them are pulsating. Could they be from a squid of some sort? Here's a video of it pulsating
What do you like about kbin compared to other instances? I for one like the UX. What do you like?
Hey guys/gals, I want your opinion on this: I was thinking of buying a fractal design north case, and a fractal lumen s28 rgb aio. According to the manual, the case has clearance for a 355mm gpu. Mine is the msi suprim x 3080ti (336mm). As stated by the graphic in the manual, the gpu clearance is measured with the front fans installed, and I was thinking of installing the radiator in the front. The aio manual says that the radiator is 27mm thick. This means I need another 8mm for this to fit. I measured my gpu with a ruler and I found out the gpu is actually a bit under 330mm, maybe even 328mm. This is where I ask for your opinion. Do you guys/gals think this will fit?
