What pointless little things annoy you?
  • Of course you are welcome to be annoyed by whatever you want but I think I kind of agree with this design... Regardless of what state the car is in, you always know that if you push that button, the car should now be in park. If you're a dum dum like most of us, and you forget whether you've done it already or not, you don't need to check the dash or anything to decide whether to push it or not, you can just do it. It's like saving twice in a Pokemon game. I like that it's two distinct gestures, but compressed down into one mechanism.

However, I'm not sure I like that it's push to engage and pull to disengage. In my car I'm pretty sure it's pull to engage and push to disengage, which reminds me of the old lever style of parking brake.

    the data does not lie
  • As you can see from the data: as Everybody increases, so too does Sucks.

A similar trend can be seen here: on the X axis we track Everything, and on the Y axis a pronounced increase in Fucked is revealed.

    Another mystery solved.
  • He's obviously built himself thousands of little elevators over millenia. What did you guys think he was doing down there? Sleeping?

    rule
  • Okay, but then the very first thing he does is drag Wormtongue outside and almost hacks him in half in front of all his subjects. No trial, no questioning, no protecting the children from the horror.

Maybe giving the victim of abuse who has only just regained his senses a weapon was a poor choice

    Logitech being Logitech
  • Gotta say, I've always been blown away by how easy it is to connect Logitech stuff to their little multi-device dongles.

Recently started trying out the Flow feature and I'm a lot less blown away, but the dongle thing is plenty enough for me. I give them a thumbs up.

    The Kasparov time loop
  • Could also just leave out the supernatural part. I think he's going to figure out how to phrase it the right way long before he learns to play well or even plays Kasparov against himself.

Honestly just treat it like the first step of a magic trick, and then when he complies, you vanish from existence and that's actually a pretty sweet magic trick.

    The Kasparov time loop
  • I'm no chess genius, but surely he could explain the situation to Kasparov and politely ask him to lose on purpose. Is he a dickhead or something?
