  • That is true for every addiction, like gambling, it’s not the opioid that makes you not functioning per se, I met some people that you couldn’t believe they were junkies because even if the substance was their priority it wasn’t at the expense of everything else. Alcohol abuse it’s the worst, I saw people devastated from it and it’s legal…

  • Because the moment you don’t have any for whatever reason withdrawal is horrible, you can’t function properly without it… also you have to consider the risk of overdosing, for opioids is very high if you’re not careful

What was the funniest thing your ex did to try to win you back?
  • Offering me to do drugs together one last time even if he knew I was clean since a few years (this is not only cringe but also shitty, luckily I was in a good period so I refused) Then about 5 years after our separation he called my mom to tell her that he was still in love with me 🤦‍♀️

What are you boycotting right now and why? Are there any Boycotts you've ended?
  • Yes I was a rider for a brief period, your pay is calculated on the time and distance of your delivery but when you meet the client they can give you cash as a tip, you don’t have to declare it so Glovo wouldn’t even knew about it

Just a few euros are fine, only one time a woman gave me 5€, people here don’t use to tip but if they do they give you just the spare change from their pockets

Can you drive a manual transmission?
  • Italy: when I took my license I had to learn on a manual car because the exam car has a manual transmission but my first car was automatic (a bit uncommon here 15 years ago) so I forgot how to drive a manual, then I bought my first RV and I had to re-learn on a 30+ years vehicle but after that I never forgot. Now I like driving manual cars but if you live in a city it’s better an automatic one

Jitsi, the open-source video conferencing platform, now requires a Google, Microsoft, or Facebook account for their online service
  • Yeah I didn’t think about the phone number, I made my google account a long time ago and they didn’t use to ask you for your number but now every service needs it for “security” reasons

What are you boycotting right now and why? Are there any Boycotts you've ended?
  • Because they treat their riders like shit (not only Glovo, every delivery company) and they also take a big cut from the shops, so if I want to order some pizza for example I call directly the pizza guy from the pizzeria or the supermarket delivery But if you absolutely need to use a delivery service at least give a nice tip to the rider, unfortunately in my country tips are uncommon, very few people give it and usually is just some coins

What are you boycotting right now and why? Are there any Boycotts you've ended?
  • Yeah I don’t know if it counts as a boycott, I’m vegetarian but I don’t buy meat for our family also, my husband eat meat only when someone gift him (we are in a rural area so it happens)

  • I don’t understand, even if I use a google login I haven’t necessarily give my real name to google so why is it safer for them? Anyone can create a new email with google and particularly people sharing illegal material wouldn’t use their real personal email so what’s the point?

If it took you X hours to get somewhere, for how many hours would it feel worth it to stay at bare minimum?
  • Same! My psychologist and doctors are 40 min away, the big shops also, we have just the supermarket, the pharmacy and the post office near us, for everything else you need to drive a lot! And forget about public transport

What is your favorite insult in your native language that doesn't exist or cant be directly translated in English?
  • In Italian when you can’t swear with a “vaffanculo” (f you) you can say “vai a quel paese” that’s “go to that country” And specifically in Milanese dialect you can also say “va a ciapà i rat” “go catching rats”

But how can I meditate when my mind keeps jumping around?
  • You said it perfectly, mindfulness is not the absence of thoughts but the awareness that they always come and go and you have to learn not to stagnate on them and letting them go, like a flow on a river or clouds in the sky. For me visualizations like those work well but other people focus on breathing or on their bodies
