nope, verizon doesn't allow it, along with rogers in canada.
Motorola requires you to have an account to unlock your bootloader. To get the code required, they say that you CANNOT SELL OR GIVE AWAY YOUR PHONE. They also say they can take away your access to use wireless networks if the believe you are causing harm, a.k.a. if they want to. They also require arbitration.
Quoting from their policy:
Devices that have been unlocked are for your personal use only. Once you unlock the device, you can only use it for your personal use, and may not sell or otherwise transfer the device.
If you cause problems, your wireless network access can be disabled. You authorize Motorola or your wireless carrier to disable your device and/or its connection to a wireless network if we believe your device is causing any harm, or is unauthorized.
Mandatory arbitration of any claims. You agree to arbitrate any and all claims related to this Agreement and/or an unlocked device other than those involving intellectual property or unfair competition claims. The arbitration will be governed by the Commercial Arbitration Rules and the Supplementary Procedures for Consumer Related Disputes (collectively, “AAA Rules”) of the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”), as modified by this Agreement, and will be administered by the AAA. The AAA Rules are available online at adr.org, or by calling the AAA at 1 800 778 7879.
All verizon phones can't be bootloader unlocked
ChromeOS is Linux, but not GNU.
Interesting
Yeah Canonical is the Google of GNU/Linux
Where is here?
I'd say an absolute maximum of 100 USD
If we are talking solely about android installs, I consider lineageos or a variant to be the best. simple, customizable, and not bloated.
Anyone else notice severe ghosting when at very low levels of brightness?
Not just Ubuntu, but Canonical as well.
why not? seems fun
If I'm honest, I forgot what MATE was, so yeah I reviewed it and it still seems a bit lighter, but not too much.
Whoopsies I meant more rather than less.
Of course it does, I was talking more about price than repairability.
I'd have been too lol.
I'm gonna pirate everything I want from netflix
I don't speak polish, but from the photos it looks like a nice concept.
Not bad specs, aside from that CPU. It is terrible. My wii probably has more processing power than that.
At Teuteuf Games, we develop websites and apps that are entertaining to our users like geography and photography games
Teuteuf just added four new games!
Anyone know of some libre tactical shooters? I really can't find anything, just wanted to ask the community if they knew of anything. Closest i've found is either Unvanquished or Assaultcube. At this point of my search, I'm ready to accept that there might not be a game.
Edit: It is! I got the WiFi replaced and functional.
I need a confirmation that this is an accurate diagram, I have a A+E-key WiFi adapter, and I need to use it to replace a E-key WiFi adapter. I cannot find much information about compatibility, and need some confirmation before I stick my adapter in a type-e slot.

I've made this poll due to a debate over the definition of "base" Android. I consider it to be the AOSP, but I would like other's inputs on it. Thanks for voting!.
So... I just set my keyboard in KDE settings to Dell Latitude(i have a dell latitude) and now i can press the volume keys and they work, and pressing fn lets me press F* keys. But, my menu doesn't open. I've set it to alt+f1, alt+volume mute, and meta+a, but no luck. I am on plasma 5.24.7, using trisquel gnu/linux(triskel variant). I am using X11.
thanks for the help!
It was indeed a rickroll...
I know I can spoof my useragent, it's just ridiculous that such a massive app doesn't support an equally massive browser.
So I distinctly recall reading a reddit thread where someone woke up with someone else's photo on their cmf watch's custom watch face. I remember a few other people saying they had the same issue, and that's about it. I have tried pretty exhaustively to find that thread, or even any information about the issue, but I just can't seem to find anything. Does anybody remember this, or have any more info? Thanks a lot!
As the title says, I want to play the Epic Games version of Just Cause 4. I have got the same version of wine as the version Lutris uses - wine-ge-8.26 - and I've copied the wine prefix to get the same files exactly. I run Just Cause 4, and on Lutris is runs at an easy 60fps on High, but from the CLI it runs at about 20fps on Low. Anyone have an idea for why this happens?
