Did the US ever have an advantage on energy? I thought that they never massively invested in nuclear nor renewable and that the electric grid(s) is(are) a mess with lack of interconnection and frequent blackout (relative to other first world nations)

Most Larp I know have some rules about loosing memory when being dead or even unconscious. It kills the fun for everyone to just ask the victim who killed them.

I am surprised that D&D and clones didn't remove all the spell which shortcut investigation it's like removing the fun part of the game

When they announced a movie with Brad Pitt, I knew it would be bad. The book reads like a multi épisode TV show without a main character (and it could be a great adaptation).

That said, I understand the appeal, especially on VTT where you can't keep eye contact with other players.

The first option are generic tokens, can be the default one from your VTT, or simple colour.

Then, while not ethically great, have a look at deviant art, Pinterest and other image sharing websites. You'll find many ressources some are even published on open source like licence.

Even someone as unskilled as I am can use, The Gimp to turn an image into a token, it's overkill, but I am not going to look for a dedicated specialised app

What are the practicality regarding sport, especially during transition? There is a big trans athlete discussion, but every sport hall I went had ladies/gentlemen changing room with communal showers. People would definitely see the extra/missing bits. Moreover, I see why other people would be uncomfortable with a person suddenly going from one gender space to another.

Lighthearted has an interesting emotion mechanic.

At the start of a scene, you describe your current emotion. Then, when rolling you choose an emotion based on how you describe the action and the closer it is from your current emotions, the higher dice you roll. However, it'll make your emotional state shift. And if you roll your current emotion you gain stress.

While it's pretty interesting, it let a lot of room for negotiation between PC and GM which isn't always great compared to games with tighter rules

In the 80's/90's there was a huge satanic panic and RPG player were part of it. At the time the hobby was mysterious, many players are neurodivergent, and seen as socially awkward or edgy and as soon as a RPG player committed suicide, it was because of D&D. Not the other way around (depressed kid plays RPG to be with similar people, but still ends up dying from the depression).

To be fair, at the time the hobby also played on this image with games like In nomine Satanis or simply Vampire and it's only recently that the community add a huge focus on emotional safety and inclusions.

Full story, often quite awful (you never see true crime about a drunk driver, but when a chemistry student uses acid to get rid of his ex gf body it's get in true crime show), and with a lot of technical and legal details all of that make it interesting provided you have a good narrator

This is not new, most likely in history class you've heard about Soviet propaganda and saw how Trotsky was removed from photography.

The interesting part is now every stupid ass can forge photograph without complex techniques and a long training. IMO it's great, people will finally understand that a photo/video is most likely fake.

It will help them to use their critical thinking skills and check the context
