Community Requests.
Just got approved for their beta and I feel like a community here would be really valuable!
the only moderator, laurabrown00, has not been active for 4 years, practically almost since the account and the community were created. At lest according to their post and comment history. But the community is very active, and gets a lot of new posts regularly.
My post in there is this: https://lemmy.ml/post/16911946
Owner has not been active in over 7 months. I can help with moderating when anything comes up and helping grow the community.
Mod's account seems to be deleted. I want to make it a community of generative (non-AI) art, similar to r/generative

the previous mod is inactive and community is inactive too. I want to be mod and grow this community. I'm very familiar with the subject too.

> Moderation of !opensource@lemmy.ml > > Someone suggested to post here about absence of moderation from !opensource@lemmy.ml. As a former moderator on reddit and since many months on my own instance, I‘d help with deleting spam for the foreseeable future and general moderation if needed. Admins, feel free to hit me up. Have a good one.
The current account of the admin is either banned/inactive. So, requesting adminship of !bangladesh@lemmy.ml
The mod there, MerchantsOfMisery@lemmy.ml, hasn't made a post in a year, so I figure they're inactive.
If so, I volunteer to take over moderation duties. Here's a link to a post I made there: https://lemmy.ml/post/11517992
I think the old moderator deleted his account. Kind thanks 🙏

Hi. I'd like to revive and take over this community.
Could you also please remove the original admin? It's a 4 year old account and I cannot see any post or comment at all, so a dead account. Thanks.

0 posts on the community, and community owner hasn't been active in 6 months. I think this could help people who don't feel good with how they look.
My goal is to allow image posts every 3 months, so if someone wants to do a progress post, they can - with the safety net that we won't let 2 people spam the community.
Mod never posted. I would like to add a few things in the sidebar such as counter of subscribers.

I think the mod deleted his account. Thanks! 🙏
If someone else wants to take it on then feel free! I noticed that the single mod hasn't been active in some time, so it might be good to have some more mods keeping an eye on it.

I'm also happy to keep the existing mod in addition to the new ones, in case they come back

Not sure if there's a gay motorcycle riders community still not sure if most of them are even gay lol but I still miss that community.
!travel@lemmy.ml mod hasn't been active for 2 years.

Seems like the only moderator has been missing for a while.
I love comics and I would love to help users have the best experience possible in this community ❤️
My post is the following: https://lemmy.ml/post/6120787
The only active moderator disappeared over a month ago, just 3 months after requesting for it in the first place.
Given that the community sees daily user activity, it's best to have mods who still use lemmy

the only moderator seems to have fallen off Lemmy 2 years ago My post there: https://lemmy.ml/post/5768010 Then again, there is !selfhost which is bigger and looks more active as well. Even though both moderators of that were last active 3 months ago. Should I request that community as well? I wonder what would be the process of merging two un-moderated practically-the-same communities.
I think the mod deleted his account. jayknight@lemmy.ml requested the community as well. I don't care who gets it as long as the mod is active.
It appears the https://lemmy.ml/c/sciencefiction community is effectively abandoned. The creator whom is the current moderator has never posted once.
Here is a post I have made there. https://lemmy.ml/post/5195605
Here is the existing moderator: https://lemmy.ml/u/SighBoppy
I really would like to take over the hacking community here. The current and only mod has been inactive for a while.

The only moderator of !personalfinance@lemmy.ml has not been very active over the past two months. !personalfinance@lemmy.ml is growing, and seeing more participation. The latest post from yesterday has 87 comments. We would need active moderators to help keep the place resourceful, civil, and friendly.
Moderator hasn't been active for a few years Link to one of my posts: https://lemmy.ml/post/2985339
!personalfinance@lemmy.ml description is talking about a wiki that does not exist.
I would like to remove that.
Also, the moderator's last activity if from 18 days ago.

For UK based teachers (currently not based in the UK at the moment, but have been in the UK for a while and might be heading back soon). It appears evident that the "reddit equivalent" are a bunch of conservative scabs so it would be worthy to have something in a more progressive place.
Despite lemmy.world's current travails, its flashlight community is fairly active, while the lemmy.ml one has been dead for 2 years it looks like.
It was once a balkan-to-baltic community that was making fun of their slavic/moscovit/KyivanRus/ural heritage/neighbors and was banned by reddit as it was sometimes maybe a bit too "image-heavy" in nature for western eyes. But it was the only place to find a me_irl+anti-tanki+pro-democracy memes. This day it is really hard to find a community to lough about cultural differences and shortcomings in the European east.
Hello, the two mods for this community have been inactive for a full month. Given the low activity of this community, I thought it could wait, but we're having our first troll so I'd like to become a mod just in case we get more.
I've been posting daily to this community since I'm on Lemmy, here is a link to a random post I made.
Current moderator has been inactive for a while.
c/incense has been abandoned, and I'd like to make something of it / add a banner, etc.
Hi there, In an effort to avoid further fragmentation of the Guild Wars 2 community on Lemmy, I am requesting ownership of !guildwars2@lemmy.ml.
I intent to point new users to our already well established community at !guildwars2@lemmy.wtf, if that is something the Lemmy.ml admins will allow.
I'd like to start a community for greyhounds, whippets, and all other peanut-brained sighthounds. It doesn't exist yet and I can't figure out how to create a new community in Jerboa.
I'd like to be set as a mod for !fantasy@lemmy.ml, please. The current mod hasn't had any activity in the past three years and we'd like to add a banner, icon, etc.
I checked in with the community and have only had positive reactions: https://lemmy.ml/post/1919428
This community's subject area also isn't the best fit for Lemmy.ml. I'd be happy to move it to a more suitable instance if and when that option becomes available.
!portland@lemmy.ml
At this time, they have no mods. I use to moderate over on Reddit. But have moved here. I just made a new community on a different server that I moderate also.
