This is such a case of excessive force. You did not need to literally blow the door off at 6am. Also ofc no one heard the announcement to come out at 6am.
I almost garrentee this was an intimidation technique. I feel like if you actually wanted to arrest him and not just scare his wife and children, you could have surveilled him and easily figured out that he left for work.

  It's surprising that a country where there are more guns than people, due to the well known quirk of literally writing into the constitution that the people should be armed in order to stop government tyranny, it sure is enduring a lot of government tyranny.

  I'm the first to call out the larpers, but another angle. There are people that own, train, and do not support tyranny. Think about it, though. Would these people just suddenly randomly choose to use lethal force at the expense of their own life, to defend millions of others that are sitting on their asses in and outside America, doing nothing? Would they just walk up to a group of ICE weenies and blow them away? That would not only end their life, but put their entire family, friends, loved ones, community at extreme risk, let alone being the powder keg the Stephen Millers of the world angrily masturbate to.
  Not to mention they'd be using a 10 round larper AR-15 that can only do semi-auto fire, versus possibly the strongest military force on the planet that has fighter jets, grenades, and missile-laden drones, and has already been illegally deployed in US cities on US soil.
  Everyone on this planet is responsible for stopping this. Not just the few with semi-elevated defensive measures.

  It was an example. Many states have myriad requirements for perceived safety. There is also obviously the argument that, hey, the Federal government is ignoring laws and the Constitution so F it and change the parts to enable full auto and acquire big mags. Missile drone probably still wins, but maybe other countries start helping at that point.
  
  Its not helping since liberals keep pushing anti-gun propaganda and pass restrictive gun laws that allows the police to have the discretion deny gun permits, while hillbillys in a red jurisdiction can just walk into a walmart and get a gun without any of this "permits" requirements.

  That “protest” was a joke, and anyone who thinks it was at all meaningful is a fucking clown.

  Showed up for one day, and then went back to work the next day after letting off some steam.

  America is being destroyed at record pace and "the land of the brave" have done very little so far to stop it.
  The Iraq war 2 protests had record numbers but it still happened. Protest needs to either be sustained over a period of time or combined with other actions. So far, No Kings hasn't done that and it's therefore achieved nothing.
  
  There have been more and more protests, and the suze of the turn out grows each time. The nyc mayoral primary has also show a massive shift in voting priorities that has the potential to drastically shift politics in the country permanently. People are doing things, we just have to keep on doing them until something works. Dictators have ruled the majority of the populations of Earth for a very long time for a reason. They have the advantage.
  
  I'm not denying some people are doing things. But not enough. Not nearly enough. Trump's approval ratings are still in the mid to high 40s ffs.
  That excuse might fly in most countries, but not in one specifically designed to resist turning into a dictatorship. One that has spent its history going around the world telling (and violently forcing) other countries how to run their country. One that has very loudly, very vocally, decried dictatorships and puffed up it's chest declaring it to be the pinnacle of democracy, liberty, and freedom. Constantly, loudly, saying that all those school shootings are just unfortunate collateral damage because the population requires guns to resist tyranny. Where's these checks and balances we always hear about? Where's the resistance to tyranny? Where is the land of the brave and the home of the free?
  Too many Americans don't care, they only want money or their bread and circuses. Politics be damned. Convince those greedy, selfish, lazy fucks to care or risk being doomed to dictatorship for a very long time.
  My comment, obviously, doesn't encompass all Americans. I'm not xenophobic. But it does encompass a large enough percentage that a well documented fascist dictatorship is being allowed to happen. One where the dictator said he would be one on day one, and he was still voted for. One where the plan was published online for all to read in advance, and nothing was done.
  No Kings was huge, but then it fizzled out. And each day that passes allows the Republicans a stronger and stronger hold, as they arrest and deport those who may create resistance.

  No kings was just one round. The ones before were smaller. It's gaining momentum. But it usually requires a trigger event. And trump seems to love to provide them. It maybe a week, or a month away. But as long as they keep getting bigger, we are moving in the right direction.

  You may have a skill that they require that you could do in you free time, you may just be an extra body to help carry items, or pad out a protest. Financial donations might help but don't feel obliged if you're not in a position to. People power is more important than financial power.
  Encourage friends and family to do similar.

  The next escalation will be from expanding the protests until they can be organized into a general strike.
  People need to stop going to work. Together. All at once. A lot of people. Enough that they can't be replaced and that important things that the government and billionaires rely on, stop happening, potentially for a long time. The country needs to shut down, like COVID. This is going to have consequences. But it has to have consequences. That's the point. Consequences for both sides, and more consequences until the situation gets resolved, one way or another. People have to come to terms with the fact that they're going to lose their jobs anyway. This is really just accelerating the inevitable. People are losing their jobs right now, when they are deported. People are losing their jobs when they're imprisoned. People need to realize that no one is safe, and in the longer term the way things are going with AI and robotics and utopian techbro billionaires owning everything and being handed whatever they want by the government it seems clear you're ALL going to lose your jobs at some point, so why not now? Do it early, in a coordinated fashion, for a cause. Accept the inevitable consequences, and turn them to your advantage by doing them with intention, on your own terms.
  Everyone thinks they have a great job when they have to confront the possibility of losing it, but that's the scam. You have a shitty job, working for someone else who is much, much richer than you and your shitty job and its "benefits" are the reason you are not rich despite living in the richest country in the world. There will be new, better jobs to get when you win. If you win. The need for these jobs to be done isn't going away. It's time for people to start creating some intentional artificial scarcity to drive up wages while there are still things that can't be easily or effectively automated.
  People have to organize, and do it quickly, while there is still time. A lot of people are still trying to "prepare" for what's coming but that's not a luxury you have anymore. They've been preparing for this a lot longer than you will be able to. The clock is ticking, the administration is working furiously to remove the people it considers most dangerous to its goals and remove the systems and supports that could be used against it. The more you delay, the worse it's going to be. Time wasted "preparing" is time wasted, period. The time for action is now. The rebellion is forming. Be part of it.

  The fact is money is like oxygen it's how we sustain our lives. You may be familiar with Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, basic needs (the kind that money provides) are at the very base of the pyramid, the most important level. This Nazi takeover falls under the very next category, "safety and security" and it also effects some other tiers up top as well. So to be clear, I'm recognizing the importance of this issue, it's extremely important without a doubt. But the basic needs are still the basic needs.
  With that in mind, I absolutely defend and support the strategy of participating in activism on the weekend and then going back to work on Monday. That is nothing but rational.

  This is just naive. Building something important takes time. You know that expression, Rome wasn't built in a day? Well that's barely even a metaphor here; if you want to build a new United States, a more functional, less corrupt US without all the fascism and corporate control, well that takes time. And again, in that time it takes to make those changes, you need to continue living, continue filling those basic needs.
  I went to the no kings protest and honestly I think it was quite successful. It was a show of force, a demonstration of pure numbers. It was a good step, and more will be achieved.
