12Replyhappy cheese noises

I am confused, are they turning up the volume to drown out the cheese sound or are they turning the cheese volume down?
8ReplyMakes you think don’t it.
16Reply
Not many people know this, but cheese is already plural. The singular form is choose.
8ReplyJoking aside, you're making me think. Is this like the fish situation, where as long as it's the same species or general "fish" it stays singular, but if you're talking about multiple species specifically then it's fishes?

This works both with the context of this thread and also on it's own

Reminds me how deaf people who never heard sound before and who hearing implants... their biggest surprise is learning that the sun's heat doesn't make a noise.
33ReplyIf sound traveled through the vacuum of space it would be deafening

So deep!
6ReplyI was on a bus with a bunch of deaf people signing to each other. The only sound they made was laughing to each other's jokes like no one was listening. It was wholesome. Meanwhile in non-deaf world, we stifle our happiness and fight to hold back giggle fits in case someone gets upset for causing a ruckus.
5ReplyDamn. Now I feel like an asshole.
5ReplyI wonder what mute people would see.
5ReplyClosed captions, probably.
3Reply
But we probably don't see the exact same color. There always are small variations
That's especially clear with blue and green. Some people say something a color is more blue and some say it's more green.
4ReplyLooks more black and gold to me, I don't know...
7ReplyIt's laurel GODDAMN IT! ...wait wrong one
5Reply
And that's assuming we are using the color words exactly the same...
