Where can someone post original writing works for others to read?
Want to write a novel-length story and I want to post it somewhere as I write for others to see and enjoy and critique. Idk where to post it though.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Check out the literature.cafe instance, people there will know a good community to post in.
15ReplyI suppose you could use a personal blog (I use dreamwidth, you can enable anonymous comments on posts), or make up a personal neocities page
9ReplyAO3 has a section for original fiction
7Replyao3 only accepts fan works :/
original works are for original works linked to fandom
7ReplyGood point, their policies are rather complex. Or maybe I got it mixed up with FictionPress (both have similar colors)

Oh shit. Didn't know that. I already post fanfiction there. That's hella convenient

Webnovel, Penana, Wattpad, Booksie and Mediaminer.
6ReplyYou can start a blog with something like WordPress and post it there. I believe that's how Andy Weir started releasing The Martian.
If you need help, I could walk you through what you need to do. There's also ActivityPub integration now, so people could read it from the fediverse.
3ReplyA lot of webserials post on blogger sites or places like Royal Road.
2ReplyYou could create your own community where anyone could share stories
2ReplyThat would be awesome, but I don't have the time to moderate an entire community :/
3ReplyThat questions came up a few months ago and i thought someone said there was a community.
