Ford to spend $3 billion to expand large truck production to a Canadian plant previously set for EVs
The new plans include investing about $3 billion to expand Super Duty production, including $2.3 billion at the Canadian plant, Ford said Thursday.

Edit: just to clarify, the Canadian government gave them more than half a billion for the EV retrofit. Guess that's all money pissed into the wind now.

Ford is just doing what oil industry is making them do. As more people buy more electric cars, the number of these big-ass vanity throne ships will increase to offset the lost revenue for oil industry.
8Meanwhile Chinese companies dominate the world in EVs and with developments such as this they will go virtually unchallenged.
2BYD already has plants in Canada. I'd really appreciate if they just expanded their Canadian footprint - good Canadian jobs, cheap EVs, win-win-win.
