There is something fascinating about getting a glimpse of how truly complex and incomprehensible the world is. There’s a reason Fire and Water are so hard to replicate with mathematical processors (in CGI)
Aside from the boring story I wasn't impressed by the 48fps and optical abberations of water when compared to real life. I don't believe we "figured that shit out" yet.
They can replicate it. In fact it’s been a mathematical ability usually first pass with fluid dynamics.
It’s just that once you give a director what it looks like at real life speed they start art directing the shit out of it til it no longer looks realistic, 5 months later working on the same simulation “it’s so hard to replicate”….that’s because It’s not reality we’re trying to replicate anymore. Then audience hates it and calls it unrealistic because the finished poop is unrealistic.
