Three Russian companies with links to the government were allegedly using the domains as part of a coordinated effort to influence the upcoming election.

Oh my god the Garland is doing something! Gather around, children, this only happens once per century.

I wonder if they will replace the pages with anything that explains that the site was seized and taken down for being part of election interference and misinformation.
Would be cool to see all the old links and copy/pasted fascist text walls get updated.

- This was my initial thought as well. It would be relatively easy to put up some text explaining what happened to try and undo some of the damage.
  
  There's a problem there, though. The propaganda was basically various versions of "The government (when run by Democrats) is bad, don't trust the government."
  If they put up a notice saying, "This domain was seized, here's the real facts!" the target of the propaganda isn't going to buy it for a hot minute.
  If they put up replacement content that doesn't mention the government seizure, tha target of the propaganda is already primed to shout, "Fake news!" at anything that disputes their existing worldview.
  It's best to just let those domains return like a 504 Internal Server Error and die a quiet death.

I can only imagine the reaction of the Founding Fathers to the CENSORING of the FREEZE PEACH of websites run by a foreign intelligence service, that are being used to spread disinformation and disrupt American elections in support of a traitorous candidate who works with and/or for said foreign intelligence service to undermine our national security. I can just hear them asking, "What is a website?" and "How did this happen in the first place? What have you idiots done with our country?"

If the US takes down all the Russian propaganda channels, who will be left to speak for Trump?

I'm sure the SCOTUS conservative supermajority will find that the founding fathers intended that Russian propaganda should be allowed to elect insurrectionists and criminals.

The only thing that would be better than this is if they had Anthony Fauci do the seizing.
