Is it wise to store your bike with its entire weight pulling on the top tube like that?
1Shouldn't really be an issue, the top tube ought to be more than capable of supporting that weight. The only problems I've really heard of are when people clamp their stands too hard on carbon fiber stuff, but that's more about the pressure from the clamp, not the weight of the bike.

In that case, I like the idea... now I need a multi-million dollar mansion with 20ft tall ceilings to make it happen! LOL

I’ve got 5 pulley bike hoists that cost $20/ea. This is nice but over engineered.

8If you wanted, you could just buy pulleys, rope, and a couple hooks to make your own. You could even just use eye screws and run the ropes through them for even cheaper!

Great if you have a high roof. Otherwise $5 hooks work fine.
8Not suitable for most e-bikes. Too heavy.

I live in a major city and the most common type of bike theft here is from a garage, gotta lock em up in the garage. This seems like it'd be better security that just leaving it propped against a wall but less than just about anything else.

2Yeah, it's a cool idea, it just has to compete with rubber coated hooks for bike tires. I do want to install some in the garage, though.
