Thelma and Louise: can't beat the classics

Hi all, just found this community and figured I’d share my one-two combo I call Thelma and Louise. I guess I have a type after all! Maybe I should get a 1911 to round it all out….

To all the liberals down voting this stuff constantly, please tell me how the cops are gonna save your white suburban ass from being deported to CECOT for being a registered democrat. Also, before you say F-15 go read about Afghanistan and the troubles.
- I don't think Afghanistan is a good analogy, but "the troubles" are. Also Rwanda. I don't understand how anyone can call Trump a fascist, and realize how popular firearms are with his supporters... and maintain a stance that reasonable people shouldn't arm themselves. If there is a time to pursue gun control, it surely isn't right now.
- Dude. Ffs. Chill out, the post is sitting at 9 upvotes currently. You jumped the gun (heh) and started whining about votes and combined it with bitching about "liberals" on a post that's about some classic firearms.
  Like, you have the right to do that if that's really what you want to do, but, c'mon, you have to know that kneejerk bullshit isn't in any way useful
  
  It's all of these posts. Firearm content attracts a lot of downvotes on Lemmy. The classic firearms were precisely what made me want to say something. One can't really have that kind of community here because of all the people trolling 'all' and randomly interacting with stuff that wasn't meant for them.
  Also liberal is in the title so it felt right. I'm not a liberal, I'm an leftist, so do with that what you will.
- I figured the downvotes were because of the whole "naming your guns" thing, for being cliche, a bit cringe even.
  I figured people who were wholly and truly anti-gun wouldn't subscribe to a community called "liberalgunowners".
M1A's a bit dated but it's still usable as anything else.
I'd throw at least a red dot on the scout rail personally. Those M1 sights are very tough to use in anything but good lighting. But before that, make sure you have adequate magazines and a decent amount of ammo.
- Yeah I live in a restrictive state for guns so no AR for me. I’m already bulking up on ammo and probably gonna get a scout scope for it.

Them's some pretty pieces, but I find dark polymers to get hot as shit during any sunny range day.
- The difference in price between this and the wood stock was a couple of magazines….went with the mags
  
  It was the right financial call, but I may also recommend a foam cheekrest or a wrap of some sort for the stock (and maybe other contact areas)
