77ReplyI want to upvote, but just can't do it.
73ReplyBehold! The 7 I used back in middle school..
56ReplyI started slashing my 7s and 0s in university; it's just easier to distinguish them thanks to the abundance of Greek letters, symbols, and notations used in engineering. Also my bad printing was further marred by constantly nodding off while taking notes, so anything to improve clarity.
30ReplyYou draw sevens with a small bar in the middle because it looks better.
I draw sevens with a small bar in the middle because I have the handwriting of a goblin and my ones and sevens often look similar otherwise
We are not the same
29ReplyDoubly so if you're a le sir who Ø

17Reply7 14ReplyI'm a fan. I slash my zeros, too.
14ReplyProf from Germany explained that 1 in Germany has a flag so 7 must have a slash. Seemed good enough of a compromise to slash all the 7s and give 1s flags and feet.
10Reply 9ReplyDamnit....take my upvote
8ReplyIf one were truly ascended, one would write 七.
7Reply 7ReplyIt's like it's wearing a bow-tie 🤵
5ReplyDid Phineas got a piercing?
5ReplyThat's just 7 with extra steps.
4ReplyI write numbers like my favorite fonts do. ᛐ, not ᛁ. 4, not 丩. Something like ㇋/ℨ/Ჳ, not З. And 7, not 7̵.
3ReplyI used to use the slash on 7s when I was in Jr high because it was legit and nobody did it.
But, like... Why? What purpose does it serve? It's not like the slash through a 0 to differentiate it from an O.
3ReplyThe power of Serif vs Sans Serif.
The worst is I and l.
2ReplyShame that software always registered my dashed seven as a 1 because you can't lift the pen
2ReplyOf course we are better than Computers! Who the hell write seven as 7 anyway
2ReplyIn Yurp, the top one is a 1.
2ReplyI don't need to do that because my 7s are distinct from my 1s. That's right. I'm better than you.
