West Virginia cop gets six months for cruelty to his assigned police dog; dog's body never found

Not enough. Anyone else who fucks with a police dog gets dealt with as if they'd fucked with a human police officer.

This is why working dogs are always a higher rank than their human handlers. At the very least it would be assaulting a superior officer. What a piece of shit.

That's pretty fucked up. Usually those dog handlers get really attached to their dogs, to the point of some committing suicide if the dog dies in line of duty. On top of that, most other cops won't tolerate abusing a police dog, so I'm surprised his fellow cops didn't get some vigilante justice in.
