A federal judge in New Hampshire blocked Donald Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship, certifying the case as a nationwide class action.

The decision from U.S. District judge Joseph Laplante comes after the US supreme court said federal judges could only issue nationwide injunctions if they certified plaintiffs as a nationwide class. The issue is expected to return to the US supreme court, which has not yet decided on the constitutionality of Trump’s order.

The title makes it sound like the judge is defying the Supreme Court, that isn't the case at all.

- It's like the media goes out of its way to botch headlines and stories.
- Huh, it took me a couple of times to understand what you're saying. You do seem correct from what they're saying, but it could be a journalist who doesn't understand either. More likely, the headline person got it wrong.
  
  Cynical me thinks the reporter knows the difference but chose to write the headline as clickbait because modern media.

"Despite"? They did the exact process SCOTUS laid out. Now we get to see them retroactively decide that this group can't be certified as a class or that the judicial branch doesn't have jurisdiction over immigration. Whatever it takes to gargle Nazi balls some more.

Judge fight!!! I'd pay to see this guy kick their asses.
