- Since we’re speculating…Line of people, majority women waiting to club. Incel or perhaps a spurned lover. Lots of people do not handle rejection well.

Reporting that one person had a gunshot wound, unidentified. There's a hospital about a block or two north of the incident, but the car is facing south.
- That gunshot wound is such an unexpected twist, especially since they do not specify if the victim was among those outside of the club or in the vehicle.

  It appears that the driver received the GSW as a result of bystander retaliation.
Religious nut job that can't stand people having fun.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said that when officers arrived, bystanders had dragged the driver out of the Nissan Versa and were attacking him. One assailant had shot the driver.
I'm usually vehemently anti-violence, but good on these people.
From reading the article, hypothesis: the fight that started in/slightly outside of the club got escalated into “imma drive my car into the person who pissed me off”
- analysis: this seems like the most petty, and in this timeline, the most likely explanation.
Capt VanGerpen also said the person with the bullet wound might be the driver but added "we haven't confirmed that yet".
