MTG Is Getting Trolled With Hilariously Awful Amazon Reviews Of Her New Book—And People Can't Get Enough
Where's the lie, though?
Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene just released her new book MTG, and the Amazon reviews...are something.
Of all the Americans MTG is one and I couldn’t wait to read her book. Unfortunately it arrived upside down so I had to return it. 1 star.
67ReplyThat article is virtually unreadable. What a trash website.
40ReplyIt's, like, a few words and then some ex-twitter links. And then a few more words and some screenshots of the Amazon reviews before going back to the ex-twitter links. Dumb.
19ReplyFor me, the twitter stuff doesn't even load. It's literally unreadable.
6ReplyI feel like that’s par for the course for a large number of news articles now, especially the “Y is outraged at Z because of —“ articles where it shows like 3 tweets from people who are, at best, mildly annoyed by the thing.

George Takei constantly shills for that site in his mastodon feed. I unfollowed him because of it.
8ReplyI unsubbed because the man talks a lot... @pluarlistic and @breadandcircuses now flood my feed
mastodon is neat, I've not figured out how to use my masto-id on lemmy but what ever.

And Amazon has now restricted the reviews. Boo
25ReplyWeird for Magic The Gathering. I have questions.
Are we talking the coastal wizards are being trolled or the players?
18ReplyFrom the Amazon description
Known for her humor and honesty,
lol, wut? when?
16ReplyThat's when people say that they are funny and have a dark sense of humor, only to find out they mean racist.
11ReplyAll this time she thought we were laughing with her.
6ReplyThe humour is obvious. Just listen to her daily ramblings and speeches and you'll be rolling on the floor. The latter is an example of the former.
4ReplyIt’s not surprising that she confuses “laughed at me” with appreciating something.

Technology has come so far you can even publish books in different timelines!
2ReplyThis is the most likely explanation.

You know what, guys? Marge would be quite upset about the negative reviews, if she could read.
13ReplyShe couldn’t even bother to make sure her name and title was centered on the books cover.
12ReplyWorse yet, it's leaning left, and we all know that's inaccurate.

Do even the magas want to read a book from mtg? I'm finding that doubtful.
9ReplyThis kind of book is typically money laundering more than anything else. PACs can't just give money right to a candidate, but they can buy thousands of copies of their book to give away at events. Boom, money right into your guy's pockets.
8ReplyDo Magas read?
8ReplyCan magas read?
4Reply
Do they even read?
5Reply
The majority of the copies are bought by some Republican super PAC, standard GOP procedure.
8ReplyWhenever I hear of MTG I think of the Japanese firm and I'm really confused why the business has been assigned a gender -_-
5ReplyI think of Magic the Gathering and also get confused.
8Reply
There are only 4 reviews.
4ReplyAmazon deleted the other reviews.
13ReplyCrazy that for some reason those 4 were left up.
7Reply
You may notice the article itself shows at least six different ones, so reviews are getting removed.

Damn that article under it about Jenna Ellis is also hilarious
4ReplyIs it written in crayon?
3ReplyPermanently Deleted
1ReplyDoesn't that mean they bought her book? So....she's laughing all the way to the bank?
