Keeps the work amusing and sometimes improves your tips. You're usually cramped as hell behind a bar, especially if theres another bartender or a busser back there. I liked to try to move fluidly when I was busy and why not have a little fun if you can.
1- Tips! People like a little something fun to watch. I don't drag things out or do any big fancy tricks(flair bartending is actually illegal in this State, or so I'm told), I'm not trying to hold my line up or make anyone wait for their drink longer than necessary.
That being said...
2- It also alleviates boredom for me, the one making the 30th Peach Fairy Dust Spritzer of the evening. At a certain point it's all just muscle memory anyway to make the drink itself, it's fun to do something a little different.
Yeah, that's what I as a customer want. 🙄 A "mixologist" who grudgingly does their job. Sounds like a great vibe that'll keep me coming back!
Putting even an ounce of thought into it will reach the obvious conclusion: I can get a canned beer literally anywhere (or at home). What you're paid to do is make the more difficult, expensive drinks I don't have the ingredients for...
This episode always bugged me because I don’t like parquet flooring
Hey! I don't like it that much either, but the flat we've bought sports it and I try to live with it....and by now..I kinda dig it
