Suggestion for a nice File manager?
As title, I just need a simple file manager, open source and with minimal permissions.. anything good you think I should try?
Edit: can someone ELI5 to me why almost every file manager needs full network access and to see wifi connections? There must a reason..
This one is really nice. I still use solid explorer but I've been trying to switch to this one
7ReplyIts great, good user interface, also does smb and sftp

Material files is best in my experience.
10ReplySame, I like this one a lot.
1ReplyMaybe, I just dont like the endless list of permissions it needs..
0ReplyUhm...
Just "manage all files" because it is... a file Manager

Little File
managerExplorer works well. Not real pretty, but it exposes the actual folders and does actual cutting or copying. 3ReplyYou meant Little file explorer? It seems what I was looking for, simple and without useless permissions..

I like this one
Amaze (An open-source file manager following the Material Design guidelines) https://f-droid.org/packages/com.amaze.filemanager/
3ReplyBeen using ghost commander for years, never had any issue, it's available both in f-droid and google play
2ReplyI use the default that comes with GrapheneOS, not sure what features I might be missing out on.
1Reply 1Reply/bin/sh is everything you ever needed.
1ReplyI've been using "simple file managerpro" for some time. Also simple gallery (from same developer), it's great!
-1ReplyLOL bad timing on that recommendation. They just got bought by a company that puts ads in everything. Supposedly there's already a fork called Fossify though.
19ReplyIt's Fossify but the GitHub organization name is FossifyOrg.
1ReplyPermanently Deleted
