There's a movie called Threads that starts out like that. If you haven't watched it, do. It's the most realistic depiction of nuclear apocalypse you'll get to see.
10Gonna have to check it out, The Day After is another good depiction of what we could expect in case of a nuclear war.
6A little less realistic, as it starts as animation before slowly incorporating live-action footage as things get dire and more depressing, but When the Wind Blows is also a very good depiction of what happens to regular civilians during a nuclear war. Distressing and depressing film, but a good one.
