Y'know, for a national symbol, it looks like some sort of exotic ham radio antenna that got wrecked in a windstorm.
As a symbol, it lacks both the tight branding of, say, the hammer-and-sickle, or the over-the-top pomposity of the classic "Lions with shields! Dragons! Two-headed eagles!" heraldry.
They could have at least put together a replacement ststue that fit the proportions of the base.
A statue of what though? I think this trident thing is exactly the right symbol to represent the anonymous historical void that is the source and the sink of this regime

To the right a radio antenna sticking out of a heap of concrete that looks like a horde of birds shat all over it. The city has devoured almost all greenery and the remains look half dead.
