  • Oh no westies are mad about losing control over their colonies.

    • Colonialism is terrible because it deprived people from their right to self determination.
But somehow, when Russia organizes a coup against a democratically elected government in the 21st century, this is totally fine. Oh, yogthos, the public display of your cognitive dissonance is a wonder to witness day after day :)

      • There is zero evidence for your conspiracy theory that Russia is organizing coups, while there is plenty of evidence that these are popular coups against western repression. You are a shameless propagandist, and one of the most dishonest people I've had the displeasure of interacting with on this site. Here's what's actually going on in Africa for people reading this thread https://peoplesdispatch.org/2023/09/02/niger-and-the-sahel-are-pushing-back-against-insecurity-exploitation-and-france/

      • You're stretching the definition of democratic especially if you're extending that to all of these countries that have recently experienced coups.

      • Unironically the coup has given the people more self determination than being a Neo-colony. Democracy in those countries generally have just Europeans or Americans voting for the government instead of the people. And western Africa specifically has been exploited by France on record even after colonialism "ended".
