why isn't the use of the bidet more widespread?
    • warm water bidets exist, but cold water isnt as bad as you think
    • no, thats a common misconception
    • you can pat dry with a couple squares of TP, or keep a towel handy since you're clean now
    • you ever see all the nooks and crannies of a butthole? You're going to hurt yourself before you're actually clean if you're just wiping with dry paper. You're smearing shit around your asshole and then going about your day with a shitty asshole acting like that's not a problem that needs solving

    Strap lock recommendations?
  • This is sort of old but I always make a point to recommend DiMarzio because nobody else seems to. I’ve seen all of the typical straplock designs fail, but I’ve never seen a DiMarzio strap fail. I straight up don’t trust anything else anymore

Is there any evidence that Reddit has suffered at all from the exodus to Lemmy?
  • The first two things I noticed were that the quality of content tanked (which was already the lowest I’d ever seen before that), and unvetted racism shot up. I still access Reddit on occasion for some small communities, but I use Dystopia so I don’t provide ad revenue and I just don’t interact anymore. It’s like the active/reasonable adults left and it’s mostly kids and bots left posting and commenting.

Ska is the "pineapple on pizza" of music genres
  • Tbh the list of kids shows without ska would be shorter. It's constantly used in scene transitions or just moments meant to be exciting, but some shows just straight up have Ska intro songs, like Phineas and Ferb. Hell, Scooby Doo had an entire episode about an undead ska band called Rude Boy and the Ska-tastics.

  • Eh, kids shows are full of Ska, which makes total sense because it is impossible not to feel happy and excited when you hear it.

So if you have kids, you're probably exposed to more Ska music than you realize.

    Controller > Keyboard
  • You don't have a finger dedicated to each button on the d-pad tbf. It's still considerably slower, but I would prefer a controller for most 2D games in general.

So long Reddit, thanks for nothing!
  • Bruh I logged into my Spotify account and it reactivated the Facebook account I had requested be deleted a more than a year prior

  • A little router kickback caused a bevel where I didn't intend for one to be, so I just went with it and beveled everything. I think it turned out pretty cool tbh.

I couldn't find anybody who would cut a custom pickguard in the COVID times, so I did it myself
  • The pickguard isn't actually covering up any electronics cavities, but some of them do have weight relief cavities under the pickguard. Mine is solid though, about 8lbs iirc

  • This is the #1. It started life as a murdered out metal machine, so naturally I had to class it up. Charvel Pro Mod So Cal Style 2.

PRS wasn't about to make one just for little ol' me, so I had to take it upon myself. Lots of mods in this one. Floyd has more recently been replaced with a Gotoh GE1996T. It doesn't get played much these days, but it sure looks nice hanging on the wall.

A bit of an old photo, this was my #1 for a couple years, extensively modded SE Custom 24 Floyd. The Floyd has since been replaced with a Gotoh GE1996T.
