Half Of PlayStation Players Still Haven't Upgraded To PS5
  • And Nintendo proved this right by making successful games on underpowered systems. The switch it's basically an Android tablet from last decade sold with crazy markup but talented game designers make compelling games

Sure, in the store they have 3rd party do lazy shitty ports like this https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/jello-run-switch/ but I feel it has more interesting games than the photorealistic ones on PS5, except the masterpieces by insomniac studio, but those can also be played on PS4 or PC

Half Of PlayStation Players Still Haven't Upgraded To PS5
  • The PS5 doesn't even have a browser because they're scared of exploits

Why not just have some hardened Firefox with auto updates instead of licensing a browser from a company specialized in exploitable browsers for consoles? Nobody uses netfront, why Sony and Nintendo are so obsessed with it?

Why Apple’s iPhone Browser-Choice Option Sucks
  • The average people don't know the concept of browser. I saw people using Google search (the app) as a browser. I saw people trying to login in their webmail using Google search (the app), then in order to see what photo they wanted to upload they went back to home by closing the WebView, watching the photo, then using again the Google search app to login in their webmail. Extremely infuriating, I wanted to die.

Why Apple’s iPhone Browser-Choice Option Sucks
  • Yes but let's remember everyone that Apple did their "best" in this. If a developer makes a browser that doesn't use WebKit, then can publish that version only in Europe. For the rest of the world it's still forced to publish the usual "Safari skin". Basically doubling the work and the monetary cost of developing a browser.

I'm ready to build my own PC
  • No. First you always say "it's so easy to build a PC, you're dumb to get a console for gaming". Pay attention to always say this, even in unrelated circumstances

Then, after years of saying that "it's so easy", when your friend finally says "I finally want to build a PC, can you help me?", you drop this bomb

Got a new resin 3d printer: why am I getting holes?
  • I noticed that that "high speed resin" was sold out even if they were still bundling it with new printers

Then I realized that the profile for that resin in their own official slicer had half the vertical resolution and half the exposure time. It's something broken that they created just for allowing the marketing to say "the fastest printer on the market, full prints in 2 hours instead of 8". Even the demo file that was given with the resin had layer delamination when printed, and that's the best use case, an empty cylinder that needs no support and has a constant wall thickness all around

Got a new resin 3d printer: why am I getting holes?
  • It was the resin. Once I bought a resin from another brand, it printed perfectly

It really puzzles me why they would bundle 2 kg of low quality "high speed" resin that isn't even able to correctly print the test files...

    He can't prove it?
  • I wasted 15 minutes of my life to understand why he is staying that "blur" is crashing the price of that jpg

It looks like that there's a new nft marketplace that created some shitcoin as a reward for users. When someone trades a jpg , the platform print this worthless monopoly money and give as a reward for the user. Because there's dumb people that is buying this monopoly money thinking that surely it would be worth something, whales are exchanging those jpgs between them in order to get the free monopoly money as a gift, so they can dump them immediately and buy more jpgs to exchange.

What a waste of compute energy

  • I'm kinda hoping it was just that a state sponsored attacker showed up on their door and said "include this snippet or else..." otherwise it's terrifying thinking of someone planning some long con like this

We are all relying on the honesty of a few overworked volunteers...

  • From that post, commits set to UTC+0800 and activity between UTC 12-17 indicate that the programmer wasn't operating from California but from another country starting with C. The name is also another hint.

Got a new resin 3d printer: why am I getting holes?
  • the slicer said the model needed a repair (which it did), but then it also does this with other stuff. Later I try with a profile with more exposure time

  • Got an anycubic resin printer and I'm using their high speed resin (because it was bundled for free), and i tried to send a file using the high speed setting.

After the print it was seemed to be ok, then after i left in a bath of ethanol (IPA can't be found in stores in my country) i got all those holes.

    What's the problem?

A slicer problem? The ethanol bath? The high speed resin that's not good?

By surprise and without any announcement (maybe I missed it?) Ryochan7 archived their ds4windows project with a final EOL release

Vigembus (the driver) is also discontinued due to a trademark issue by an unrelated company that has nothing to do with gaming

What will be the path forward to easily use non-xbox pads on windows?

I use a dual shock 4 via Bluetooth on my PC (Windows) and I'm tired about the workarounds required to have it working all the time. Sometimes it needs steam open, sometimes instead having steam open will confuse the game, and so on. And by default the light is off when connected so I never know if it's o, off, low battery. I have a limited amount of time to play and I don't want to waste 1/4 of it troubleshooting the controller.

I saw an e-waste recycler selling brand new stadia controllers for $15. Some of them in a nice mint green tint that I never seen before. Once flashed with the new Bluetooth mode firmware are they good to play on PC (Windows)? Or I should just use Xbox controllers if I want something that "just works"?

It seems legit at a glance, but then, the link is super generic (technozblog .com/motherboard.html) and all the comments don't make sense as they are disconnected from each other and linking to completely unrelated stuff
