  • Not owned by Amazon, but there's a big but.

Their source of income is from Amazon affiliates link. Whenever you follow the price of a product, if you click on the links on their websites or in their emails, they will earn a commission from Amazon.

Amazon recently started vetting their affiliates more. I'm 100% sure that camelcamelcamel now shows data in a way that doesn't hurt Amazon (e.g. they won't show sudden drops in prices, i.e. pricing mistakes) or even themselves (commissions are a percentage of the price paid by the user).

  • There's simply no way to keep pensions. It's like a big pyramid scheme where new people are putting the money and old people are enjoying them; the problem is that old people are growing and they've been living longer, and young people are less and less.

  • I agree. I'm also very sad when I see small kids watching YouTube videos on tablets; that's pretty much all they do.

Where's the fun of tinkering? Trying to build things? Trying fixing problems, such as formatting?

Kids don't even have the concept of files and folders. We're raising a generation of digital slaves.

  • Yes, that's why it's important to gather more than 1 million signatures. At least 1.3 million to be on the safe side.

At the end of the collection, all invalid signatures will be deducted from the total.

So now it's more important than ever to keep sharing and signing.

  • KEEP SIGNING EVEN AFTER THE THRESHOLD HAS BEEN REACHED!

Signatures will be checked and, historically, 10% to 20% of signatures have been invalidated.

So we need to get at least 1.3 million signatures to be completely safe.

    KEEP SHARING!

Simple Mobile Tools have a new name: Fossify, an open-source fork

    github.com Fossify

A group of simple, open source apps without ads and unnecessary permissions, with customizable colors. A fork of @SimpleMobileTools. - Fossify

    Fossify

We all saw in the news that Simple Mobile Tools got acquired by ZipoApps and they started filling up the free apps with ads.

Luckily, being those apps open source, a new fork has been created.

It's called Fossify. They forked all the apps on GitHub and they have a new maintainer.

Now we just need to wait for their first official release and then... we need to spread the word and make people switch from the old SMT apps to Fossify!
