Android apps are blocking sideloading and forcing Google Play versions instead
  • No, it only affects vanilla apks where the dev implemented the check. For some reason the dev might forbid to run the app to users that side loaded the app instead of getting it from play store

Patched/modded apks are unaffected because the check is patched out

Navy officer lost job for secretly installing internet on warship to check social media
  • Yes but not as blatant as STINKY

Everyone with a smartphone would see STINKY and immediately get suspicious, while only techs would have noticed the hidden network and investigated on that

RustDesk: I Found This Open-Source TeamViewer Alternative Impressive!
  • Yay everything is back

I wanted it to control the computers via Intel amt, but the official tools sucked. Went to download and they were removed: of course he had to be fired after multiple decades to make the shareholders happy

From that day i am boycotting Intel, you have customers that paid a premium for fucking Intel vpro and then you fire the guy who in his free time made an invaluable tool that increased your corporate sales???

Why is Facebook filled with so much random junk now?
  • Shareholders are demanding more time spent in app in average and this is what they pushed: if there's not enough content, dilute it with some shit

  • Meshcentral is discontinued because it was based on Intel ME (official program completely sucks) and when the dev was fired by Intel, he obviously lost any interest in the thing. All downloads even removed, only the source is available

Why my apps will soon be gone from the Google Play Store
  • Login from an old phone, then once it's installed on the old phone with the same Google account, it will appear on the newer phone. Yes, it's stupid

After seeing Wi-Fi network named “STINKY,” Navy found hidden Starlink dish on US warship
  • i was wondering why would you choose such a stupid WiFi access point name, then I read that it was Elon musk that decided that the default starlink AP name has to be that stupid so people would change it

A Cool Guide about 12 myths that movies made us believe
  • I don't remember exactly because last time I saw the Matrix was two decades ago but i had the impression that Neo didn't shoot exactly at the same time but alternating, although at superhuman speeds

Edit: yes the handguns were shot alternately https://yewtu.be/watch?v=Z2eCmhBgsyI (at around 1:10), but automatic rifles and uzis were shot at the same time

    Delicious
  • Side question: the US you don't have ham made from a single piece of meat?

In my country that is the norm for ham, an abomination like that has no market. The only similar to it is something like "low fat chicken ham" (not actually called ham on the box as it would be false advertising)

    Thanks
  • On the upside, if we think better, the answer to the question "how much money would Larry Ellison get if he found another sucker willing to buy his Xitter shares?" is $0 as there would be nobody so insane to buy them.

So that number is the money that he lost for now, if he would be able to sell

  • For some reason my iPhone is called "iPhone (2)" and that bothers me to no end. But i can't find the way to rename it, the name can't be clicked and no textbox appears.

This phone was given to me by my employer. Do they have the power to restrict this?
