Souffle pancakes with scratch strawberry jam
  • Looks absolutely delicious and I throughly enjoyed your restaurant level plating!

I’m bad at cooking but better at collecting recipes for the future, could you post your / link to what you followed?

How attached are you to your username?
  • Very much so! There’s this other person who uses the same name online and whenever I sign up for a new service there’s a chance he’s been there first and I have to resort to an alternative. In my head we have a friendly feud about this but I’m not sure he’s noticed yet

And just like others mentioned, it’s very much become synonymous with my own identity, friends refer to me with it and at times I identify more with the nick than my actual name

Outcry over official Spanish definition of Jew as ‘greedy or usurious’ person
  • One really has to be deep into antisemitism to think that’s a relevant point to make in a discussion on how the word Jew is defined in Spain.

What game has a great story and is worth the time investment?
  • Currently playing a second Fallout 4 play through so that will color my view but honestly, all the fallout games.

Not the main story necessarily but all the smaller stories you find absolutely everywhere in those games are magical, piecing together what happens with a family who’s been dead for 200 years through terminals and notes or going through a vault slowly realizing what horrors have taken place keeps me pushing to exploring!

    A Pretty Yard for Inspo
  • I’m a bit surprised at how far into the parcel the hydrant is placed but they also practically don’t exist around here, is it common to have them basically on your lawn?

Yes, iOS 17 is changing where the ‘end call’ button is located
  • The only justification for its having it on the right side I can think of is that the button ends up exactly where you drag to answer a call, so the answer button turns to an end call button.

I'm looking for something that I can do with my phone that would be at least "semi-passively productive", any suggestions?
  • Definitely not as passive as you want, more passive in the same was as browsing reddit on the toilet

  • I’d like to lean in a different direction, educational games.

Duolingo is basically a game to my brain and doesn’t take too much effort. In the end I probably won’t be fluent in any language this way, but it’s interesting enough just getting the basic grasps of syntax in other languages and expanding my vocabulary to a degree

CNET Deletes Thousands of Old Articles to Game Google Search
  • Thanks! Replying so I remember to check them out tomorrow, but I’ll probably eventually relent and get unlimited too. With how much I apparently use it, probably worth it in the end 😅

CNET Deletes Thousands of Old Articles to Game Google Search
  • I’m extremely happy with the results on Kagi. Setting up my own ‘page-rank’ with their search customizations is a godsend to get rid of any unwanted sites and promoted the sources I know I’ll come back to.

I’m a bit turned off the pricing though, especially since last month I blew through 1000 searches before the end of last month so currently back to Google, but frustrated by every second search or so.

Now, I normally wouldn't put pen to paper over such things, but I felt compelled to share something that's been churning my sea-worn heart. > > > > I was settled down the other night, warming my bones by the fire, and I decided to tune into that popular cookin' show - Queen of Sauce. Imagine my shock when I saw my family's cherished Lobster Bisque recipe being broadcast for all the valley to see! > > > > That recipe, it's been a Willy family heirloom, passed from my grandfather to my father, and then to me. It was our private treasure, a secret handshake among us seafaring folk, if you will. The audacity of that show, it's as if they dredged up our family chest right from the ocean floor. > > > > Her cooking that bisque, it's just not the same, I tell ya. It's more than just the lobster and the milk - it's the sea spray on your face, the cries of the gulls, and knowing the lobsters personally! It's a sea thing! Queen of Sauce... Pah! It's clear she's never baited a hook in her life! > > > > Sorry to unload on you like this, but I needed to get that off my chest. Thanks for listening, friend. > > > > Tight lines, > > > > Willy > >
