What's a great buy it once Android app?
  • nova prime + netguard to keep it off the internet has kept me using it. "search focused" launchers are not how I use my phone and nothing else has all the features nova does without being able to just dump the stupid home screen search bar.

What's the most irresponsible purchase you made that you don't regret?
  • 3070ti and a 43” 4k gaming monitor, sometime in 2020 when pandemic pricing was at the highest bullshit level. it would cost less than 1/2 that 18 months later, but I'm glad I didn't wait.

massive screen real estate at 144hz all the time was worth it for work alone.

  • this makes me so happy to have a 2005 truck with physical dials and a CD player and no fucking touch screen shit. every time I rent a car somewhere I despise the experience.

  • I really like it but I'm a fucking dumbass apparently, because I'm stuck in it and can't find any more clues to get further. not as much fun if you're a dumbass

How many of you actually use the headphone jack on your phone?
  • still using an LG V30 (24bit 96k dac) with a few varying pairs of IEMs almost daily. going to keep using the V30 until it doesn't work on cell networks anymore. really don't want to have to fuck about with carrying an external dac to use good headphones.

  • SketchUp for doing home based building stuff that's not super detailed is a pretty good option. it has kind of a wacky interface but, if you're trying to build in 3dbehat normally gets built with plywood and 2x4s, it's a pretty good solution

  • I got the backpack, and sadly I really like it for carrying around the stuff I use daily. can't understand the insane hype around a damn screwdriver though...
