- Better than Dunkin or Tim Hortons. And at least the glazed ones are still made on site.

  There are excellent local donut or pastry shops everywhere.
  
  Someone doesn't live in rural poor USA addicted to travel money and economically fed by the local McDonald's right off the highway and it shows lol
  
  Eh, “big town” rural rust belt. We’ve got a couple local shops but we’re the largest town for about 40 miles.
  
  Fair. Ruralish Iowa here. I have a few local myself, which I do love to visit, but when I'm visiting my small town family I'm generally lucky if there's a grocery store within 20 miles that isn't the gas station.
  
  Facts, I'm waiting for fall to get fresh cider donuts from the local farms and farmers market.
  There's a couple local shops for more classic donuts (one has won statewide competitions) but their donuts are a bit overwhelming (v large) for any regularity and of course pricier. Worth it for myself occasionally, but too expensive to justify for coworkers.

  Literal overprocessed trash compared to Tim Horton's but US Tims might be lower quality than Canadian.

  Flavor profile is more balanced. Krispy is way too sweet. Dunkin is pretty bad too.
  Havent tried Tims in the US but I imagine it's bad. Have you tried Dunkin or Krispy Kreme? Tim Horton's is far from perfect but guarantee as a Canadian you'll never go back to either unless you have an American sized sweet tooth.
  Most Americans I know find Timmies too bland because they're used to being punched in the face with HFCS.
  
  I like tim hortons (I’ve only tried the candian ones) but its pretty obvious when you eat them that krispy kreme is a lot more fresh and imo a doughnut needs to be fresh to be really good.
  I do agree dunkin is pretty bad tho.
  
  I agree Tims at the end of the day on a college campus is a bit sus but if both are fresh I prefer Tims. I feel like I'm being orally violated by HCFS with Krispy.

  Dunkin doesn't make donuts, they make small bundt cakes.
  
  Every time I've had dunkin it all tastes like it's a day old. Stale garbage. Every single time. I can't fathom why anyone would like it. I feel like people that laud dunkin just haven't had good doughnuts.
  
  Growing up in an area with a strict Dunkin Donuts allegiance...
  They've never had good donuts but their coffee was cheap and the donuts were too, which was good. I could still go for an iced coffee and Boston creme but not for the price they're selling it for these days.
  
  Dunkin can suck my left nut. Those donuts are pure ass.
  
  Safeway's bakery or the local Korean donut place after easy winners over both, IMO.

  They truck these donuts in from the same place that makes donuts for Kroger and Walmart. We know this from the recalls for listeria.
  
  Depends. In my city they're at least partially made at the local Krispy Cream shop. You can still go in the morning and see them making the doughnuts through the glass wall, packing them from the roller belt, and loading the trucks.
