I'm not inside my skin. I am my skin.

I am not up my ass. I am my ass.

Now give me some sugar water
2Reply
They have nerves throughout their shells and can feel even gentle touch.
46ReplyHell yeah time to pet some turts
30Reply 30ReplyI've seen turtles love getting brushed by a soft bristle stuff like toothbrushes plus you alao clean them

Yeah? Then explain this, mister '''''''scientist'''''''
43ReplyThis is just yet another example of legacy media lying to us.
6Reply
So my head is not "inside" my skull but *is* my skull? Is the brain not a part of my head?
26ReplyWhat part of you makes you? Is it just your brain?
Anyway, I think what they're getting at is that the shell is actually their spine, not like some extra thing that grows on top of their spine.
34ReplyMost ppl think they have a skeleton inside them. But If you think of you as your brain (as many would day). Then your actually inside your skeleton.
11ReplyI get what they try to say. But it's just funny that they correct a statement with another wrong statement.
1Reply
I think the right analogy would be to say "you are not inside your skull, you are your skull". And I would count this as a more or less correct statement.
4ReplyAm I my skull? So I get to live as long as my skull is not decayed?
-2Reply
Can you put any external part of yourself inside your skull? That's the difference.
4Reply*shows toungue and puts it back in
5ReplyYeah, any time you put something in your mouth. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
2ReplyI've been trying but I'm still not flexible enough to reach.
2ReplyI can, though probably only once

I feel like an annual reminder would be entirely sufficient, to be honest.
24ReplyI'd like to know who needs a daily reminder.

Idk I see a big cavity that would contain turtle...
24ReplyYes, that's for pregnant turtles.

who should i trust? Nintendo or a random person on the Internet?
14ReplyThose are koopa troopas. They're turtle-like, but not actual turtles.
2Reply
I learned from Franklin books and Mario games that you're wrong. A picture showing a clear cavity where a turtle could pop out won't convince me!
11ReplyPlease don't tap/knock on turtle shells. It would be like someone knocking directly on your bones.
7ReplyMy bones are not weak, they can take it.
10ReplyYour bones are not weak but its still not a good excuse to abuse a turtle by knocking on its shell.
4ReplySurviving and getting pissed off are totally different things that can happen at the same time...
3Reply
That's really easy to do, knock on your head. There's just a thin layer of skin over the bone.
1Reply
That's neat and all. But how do they retract their heads?
6ReplyAnd feet, especially box turtles. Some species can indeed go inside their shells - while still being a part of the shell itself, of course.
4ReplyKinda looks like those vertical bones are part of a hinge joint.
1Reply
The English language makes it way too complicated. Just call all of them 'shield toads' and you're good.
5ReplyThey can feel touch through their shells
5ReplyWhat about Ninja Turtles?
4ReplySame deal.
2ReplyTurtles *are a half shell.
2Reply
What about ninja turtles?
2ReplyThis is a tortoise or is that the joke?
2Reply"Turtle" can refer to both land and marine testudines
12ReplyThe English language makes this way too complicated. Just call all of them 'shield toads' and you're good.
34Reply
I want to get him out though.
2ReplyThat's illegal, if I were to be a dictator! Look, if were to be a Dictator of the World, there would be only one overarching Law: If Turtles decide to go out of their shells, they shall leave a little sign around that says "out for lunch" or something equally thoughtful.
1Reply
Wait so they can't get out of their shells? But...
1ReplyWait, what? I'm wrapped around my skeleton?
