For everyone who is not Saturn, eating your children is really not recommended though.

Yeah why did he do that?
3He was worried one of them would overthrow him. Which they did, so he wasn't wrong, but I'm pretty sure he didn't chew the kids, since he ate a rock in a blanket instead of Zeus/Jupiter. Goya's depiction might've been more successful.

Funny enough, this painting was displayed in his house, and not shown to the public until after his death, so it was made for his own self, not the approval of others XD
