Funny. I encountered exact the same thing a few hours ago in post where somebody called South Korea occupied.
Of course I was first downvoted and then banned after I was pointing out some things. They really don’t like the word „tankie“ on Lemmy.ml…
I don’t mind being banned, I wear it as a badge of honour. But they are cowards and hypocrites, which is rather sad.

Look into East Germany right now. People who experienced a pseudosocialist dictatorship, where Putin was stationed as a KGB officer, will now lick Putin's boots. Apparently they want to be controlled by Moscow again.

Some quality of life factors that didn't appear in the metrics we track? An overall shift in role or relevance?
If you're not connecting with an audience, there's more to fixing it than berating said audience and acting surprised when they're not interested in what you're pushing.

Ignorance is bliss, it apparently is due in part to how western news is not filtered, or at least is filtered differently ðan in ð soviet days, and is as a result, a lot more stressful to viewers.
Ðey have a nostalgia for media censorship because being bombarded wið daily crime statistics and corruption scandals harshes ðeir mellow.
