I wish games that had "psychedelic" drugs as a mechanic would actually show hallucinations and play random noises if your character is under the influence.
Didn't Haze do something like this? Like you'd see monsters everywhere and children laughing or something?
Because isn't aurora supposed to be like Super Acid?
Or how quickly it is over. It's what, 10 or 15 seconds of some wobbly colors slow motion? I'm not even sure that's worth the potential addiction symptoms for combat use. Maybe if you fight both starborn but that's already so niche.
I would've liked it more if it was literally just something to make you trip balls. Nothing else. Although some custom dialog options would maybe be a funny addition. But for a decent amount of time too. We can skip it anyway so it's not like this would be much of an issue.
Pretty sure there's already a crude nude replacer for the costume. Obviously will get more refined when the CK is out with custom body models and more refined custom replacers and all that.
This has been (probably unreasonably) my biggest complaint with Starfield since I went into the club. There are gameplay and story issues that realistically should be bigger problems for me, but for some reason I’m actually offended by the Astral Lounge. I don’t expect nudity or even topless dancers, even though thematically it seems appropriate there, but what the fuck were they thinking? The game is rated M for some reason anyway, so why are we being so prudish? Baldur’s Gate 3 gets away with sexually aggressive lizard-person pussy in your face and that seems to be fine with most people, even as a modern mainstream AAA game. Why can we not have a simple space bikini/speedo when the setting calls for it instead of whatever that fucking monstrosity of an outfit is? If you’re not comfortable doing that, maybe don’t put a “club” with “exotic dancers” in your game at all, especially if the story describes that club (and entire city) as particularly libertine and lawless.
In the future, all sexes, genders and orientations will attend a single club to watch leotard-clad dad bods dance like 40 year old dudes at a Keith Urban concert.
The game in general is way too PG friendly imo. Even more so than their previous games it feels like. And I don't just mean the gore from Fallout but also just the overall representation of its themes. There's a few dark stories you can encounter but overall the majority of it is kind of hidden away. Kind of a shame because I think it would make the game a lot more immersive if they'd properly explored and represented adult themes in the game.
Reminds me a bit about Disney and how they handled a lot of the Star Wars content, really overusing all the silly jokes and shit. I wish things were a little more like Andor instead.
I thought it was hilarious to be honest. The game spent so long telling me about how anything goes in Neon, and how it's such a crazy place and people can do anything like some party planet. And astral lounge to be the Pinacle of that party planet full of possible debauchery.
I legit took my time before going there for an interesting crazy reveal.
And it's just some random place with neon signs and a club that is less risque then walking down the street.
