Was it worth it?
Was it worth it?
Was it worth it?
This right here is the power of political cartoons in one example - like no other medium, it can just go right on up to it. God DAMN. Your magnum opus Lalo.
He's not in heaven.
i think that's what the artist implies by the clouds not surrounding him
I interpreted it as the fog of purgatory.
Did Charlie Kirk get shot twice?
No just once in the neck. There was a single spent casing. and after seeing that first shot there wasn't really a need for a follow up. The extra blood dot might indicate the blood that drenched his shirt
Not as far as I know, but this does imply it!
It bounced off of his body armor and got him in the neck.
I think it's the entrance and exit wounds. I can't verify, but i heard he was shot in the chest and it exited the neck.
Eta: I'm not trying to spread misinformation. It may be wrong, but its possible the comic artist heard the same thing.
Well goddamn
I move that the gun control laws that need to be created will be named after him.
Context? And no u don't gonna click on a link, which leads to a website currently own by a transphobe racist... (twitter)
Charlie Kirk famously said that some deaths due to gun violence each year is worth it for the 2nd amendment. I have no way of knowing for sure, but I'm guessing he never thought he was going to be one of the victims.
Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at a university in Utah. He also was a staunch gun loving ammosexual. He would post pro gun stuff, all the time the US continues to have school shootings. So dead kids with bullet wounds asking the now bullet carrying Kirk if his position was worth it.
Or at least I think.
Worse than that. After a school shooting he was asked if that would affect his position on guns. He responded that in order to maintain the second amendment, some gun deaths were "worth it". Like explicitly said it was worth it. Not paraphrased or taken out of context.
Protecting free speech is always worth it. Don't care what you believe in.
Well, charlie certainly never once did that. He just abused the privilege in order to deny that right to others.
His free speech is a one way echo chamber.
This comic isn't about free speech, it's in reference to a famous quote of his about school shootings being worth it to uphold the sanctity of the 2nd amendment.
The idea is that after becoming a victim of a school shooting himself, does he still hold that view?
It's especially poignant considering he encouraged his supporters to come armed and lauded the Utah law that allowed guns to be brought on campus.
And it's not just about the guns, it's about the types of guns that can be bought and sold openly and freely due to decades of intense NRA lobbying. Assault rifles. No background checks. Etcetera. Add a constant deluge of right-wing rage and outrage content on the internet AND television, us vs them, my side right or wrong, fuck my brother and neighbor.
Their antivaxxx mentality applies to everything they touch, everything in their daily lives. Reality doesn't matter, all that matters is that I must hurt all those who are not just like me, everybody on my facebook/twitter/tiktok/whatever says so! They also tell me the sky is about to collapse and it's all and always the fault of dem libruls!
This is assuming he went to heaven. He definitely did not. He's rotting in hell with Hulk Hogan.
Notice Kirk isn’t on a cloud. He’s about to fall down to the deepest levels of Heck
Not all religions and cultures believe in Hell as a discrete place; it's actually a pretty uniquely Christian (okay and Zoroastrian, leave me alone) eschatological phenomenon. Most world religions really understand the afterlife as a constant for everyone, in the way that if you get on a train and leave one station, you have little choice but to go to the next station.
In the Bahá'í tradition, 'Heaven' and 'Hell' are considered poetic (or, if you're into the Monist / Dualist discourse, 'fictional elements') descriptions of the state of any one person's spirit upon arriving at the afterlife. 'Hell' is a state in the way having chronic pain is 'being in hell.'
This is assuming heaven and hell do exist. I'd be pretty ok if this person was just gone forever. I hope his name will fade out quickly.
I'm ready to forget him forever. Just like most of his lot.
Remember Rush Limbaugh? Yea, no one else does either. That's exactly how Republicans go out. They're quickly forgotten.
Let me assure you, there is no god, no devil, no heaven, no hell, no angels, no demons. You're not alive, then atoms arrange themselves, you start being alive, a pattern is sustained, a pattern degrades, then you're not alive again.
That's all there is. It's just you, me, and everyone else on this planet right now. There's no invisible sky daddy checking his Rolodex to see if you're spanking it to tranny porn.
Yeah they should be yelling from the clouds while he gets pulled to hell
