He got nervous when Trump and Melania started to ascend so he cancelled the rapture right there and then.
I just saw this video clip while watching last night's Kimmel. Trump was furious - look at his expression in that picture...because an escalator stopped. The smallest of setbacks drives him to a crazy level of fury.
Like Kimmel said, "If only that had happened 10 years ago."

Of course all empires go through these cycles. What's uncomfortable, I'm sure for some Americans, is that this usually marks the end of a properous time. Its the "we're not as special as we used to be, time to throw a tantrum" stage.
