Air Canada passenger opens cabin door, falls out of plane before takeoff at YYZ
A passenger aboard an Air Canada flight from Toronto to Dubai opened a cabin door before takeoff on Monday evening, injuring themselves and causing lengthy delays.
He knew that he was willing to help in the case of an emergency, but needed to double check that he was able before the stewardess came around and asked.
Good thing he checked too, because it turns out that no, he would not have been able to assist in an emergency. Well, other than opening the door and promptly falling out.
I thought the plane is supposed to be missing screws, not the passengers.
These mental issues are becoming so prevalent that airlines might need to set up cages in aircraft to prevent physical disruption of flights
The plane will miss passengers when they fall out, good point.

So yeah, that lever that says “OPEN” in big, bold, red letters? Don’t pull that!
But it says open! You cant just not open it! It’s like putting a shiny red button in front of me and telling me to not push it.
