  • Oh yeah. I remember lots of stupid excuses. Like that I didn't want to be trans because it was hard, or saying that I was a boy because I have a dick. Some of them were really stupid excuses. I once said I didn't want to be a girl because if I was trans I couldn't do sports. I don't even like sports and was never good at them, that was pure cope.

  • My mother uses that excuse though, same excuse she uses to call me my old name, and to say that I'm a man. Horrible old witch. I know it's an excuse because she doesn't bother correcting herself, she keeps going and is insistent that I'm actually a man and that it can't be changed.

  • Yes I really want it. I don't really care about wearing these tight looking outfits. I just want to not have these things (my penis and my testicles) hanging between my legs, they're disgusting. HRT has shrank them a lot but I would be much happier if they were completely gone and I had a vagina, or even nothing at all. I'd rather have nothing than have them. I did actually try to cut them off before but I didn't have it in me to get little more than through the surface before backing out from the blood and pain.

Afghanistan's Taliban morality ministry pledged on October 14 to implement a law banning news media from publishing images of all living things, with journalists told the rule will be gradually enforced.

  • Their exact words were "You are a freak who is pretending to be a woman, you are a man and will never be a woman" I then told them I'm getting bottom surgery to correct the problem they said "That's not a thing, you were born with a penis and testicles and you'll always have a penis and testicles. Facts over feelings." I can't say what they said afterwards because it had a lot of slurs. Suffice to say they weren't smart enough to be saying my genitals will be male sex, they just meant I would always have a penis.

Yeah I did block them, and reported them. Doubt anything will happen to them for it though. Twitter sucks.

  • Used to think that cis people normally think that they are girls or dislike their genitals, and that it was a phase I would grow out of. I didn't, it just got worse and it was from browsing r/egg_irl and r/traa that made me realize that I was wrong and in-denial.

What has your experience with HRT been like? I think mine might have been abnormally fast but I'm not sure.
  • Mine was very slow compared to other people, maybe it was because the DIY estrogen I had is weaker or maybe I could've gone with a higher dose. I've been on it for about 6 years and by now I for the most part completely pass except for my voice. It did take about twice as long as shown or more for me to show some of the changes. Thankfully for me hair loss isn't common in my family so I'm lucky I never had to deal with that (my grandfather is in his 80s and still has a full head of hair, it's completely white but it's still lush and thick)

I've been trying to report these incidents when they happen but I feel like it's useless since they never do anything, even when the people are homed on their instance.

  • Wasn't even a BBEG, was just a random NPC in the party that party members would make fun of for being "a man pretending to be a woman". The character remained in the party through the whole campaign and only served the purpose of being the butt of transphobic humor. I don't even think they had good stats or abilities.

They weren't good people, I don't know why I hung out with them as much as I did. I guess I just wanted to feel like I fit in with others. Well I'm glad I never came out to them even when I found out, that would've been really bad for me, instead we just quietly went our separate ways.

  • Other day I made a post about transphobia in the Fediverse and I crossposted to several communities, one of them was !fediverse@lemmy.zip. It seems the post I made attracted the attention of the mod and he decided to come over to this community and post transphobia apologia here. He was banned shortly afterwards. I would encourage people here to avoid that community, and any other communities he moderates. Since as a moderator he can easily exercise his power to silence dissenting views and to intimidate others. It's not best to participate there.

I don't know of many good ones that could be used instead, perhaps someone could start a fediverse community on lemmy.blahaj.zone, but that's beside the point of the post. Main point is to share this information with the community so you can avoid using a community run by a known transphobe.

I've also seen people downvoted in the general communities for expressing trans support, or seemingly for no reason other than simply being openly trans or visibly queer. I know it's an ongoing effort to moderate transphobia on Lemmy, and the fediverse as a whole. We have to also address mentions of thinly veiled transphobia and transphobic users. Transphobia isn't just a differing opinion, it is a dangerous hateful sentiment which causes harm to vulnerable people and it needs to be addressed, at the instance and community level. We need to put in the effort to identify transphobic dogwhistles and language used by transphobes to eradicate this type of behavior from our communities and servers alike.

Some people will argue that the light stuff isn't something to worry about, but that's not true. This is a tactic they use to blend in with normies and make them think that nothing they are doing or saying is wrong. It's what transphobic right-wing YouTubers and Facebook users do to avoid being banned for hate speech. We are better than these corporations though, Fediverse is run by communities and for the users, we should not let these things slide as easily as Corporations do, they're in it to make money, we... We're in it to create a community for the users. Part of that means kicking out those who don't have all our best interests at heart.

Seriously why? It feels like they think it's really funny, to make us try and present feminine to get what we need to feel better. Like it's a fetish to see what they think is a man dressed as a woman asking for estrogen. My doctor and therapist called me he/him even though I told him she/her multiple times, I practically yelled at him for his repeated misgendering, he didn't care.

I wish I knew why doctors and therapists put these ridiculous requirements on people. It's not like people are taking estrogen recreationally, like for real what is this for. Also how does me wearing a dress when I have face stubble and a masculine body prove I "feel like a woman" dumb fucks just want to see what they think is a man wearing a dress. It's obvious they believe I'm a man. I wasn't willing to degrade myself or sink to that level, I wouldn't have been able to live with myself. I got DIY, was the only option left that didn't involve degrading myself for those pigs and still getting denied anyway.

I'm sorry, I've had a bad day lately and I was recently reminded of this shit.
