Th ACA screwed me over pretty badly. Granted my situation wasn't the target of the act (I had non-employer private insurance, and the price more than tripled due to ACA requirements).

You probably got a good beginner, and a crappy guitar that makes it a chore.
A good setup MIGHT be able to save the guitar.
My guess is that if you are comfortable learning bass and marimba, you can handle guitar. You just need one thats playable!

Does anyone have any experience with doing this? It's not for myself, but for someone who isn't tech inclined. I want to set him up with FOSS to avoid future shitification by azn.
