Donald Sutherland Dies: Revered Actor In ‘Klute’, ‘Ordinary People’, ‘Hunger Games’ & Scores Of Others Was 88
Donald Sutherland, the revered actor who starred in scores of films and TV shows, died June 20 in Miami after a long illness. He was 88.
I have only one thing to say to whatever killed Donald Sutherland:
77ReplyAlso loved his work in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
38ReplyI assume that's from Invasion of the Body Snatchers? I've only seen the pose spoofed in other media, most memorable being Space Quest IV (think it's that one, been a few decades since playing the series now). Mean to watch it someday, maybe a good time in remeberance.
11ReplyI dunno, Italian spiderman had a decent take
6ReplyThat is correct. And it's an excellent film, as is the original from 1956.
6Reply
It's the best version of the movie really.
11ReplyUnfortunately, he balanced that out by being in the terrible 1990s version of The Puppet Masters, but they can't all be good.
3Reply
This scene shaved years off my life, haha. He absolutely nailed it.
10Reply 9ReplyI will forever call capers rat turds because if this man.
3ReplyThis movie kept me up nights as a kid.
3Reply
My favorite role he played was Oddball in Kelly's Heroes
28ReplyAlways with the negative waves, Moriarty. Always with the negative waves.
10ReplyWoof, woof, woof! That's my other dog imitation
That's such a positive wave, maybe they can't lose...
5ReplyIt's a motherbeautiful bridge! Think it'll be there, and it'll be there.
Absolutely loved him as Oddball. RIP Donald Sutherland.
4ReplyInvasion of the Body Snatchers
4ReplyLove him in that.

im going to watch mash tonight. i think he is one of the only reasons that movie hit big.
24ReplySuicide is painless.
11ReplyIf you want a laugh play that song at 1.25x speed.

I honestly can't say I like the movie. It's from that era of the 70s where they decided movies don't need a plot.
But he is really good in it.
3ReplyGould too. They were both hilarious and charismatic.
7ReplyAlso it was a Vietnam film that got past the censors by being explicitly about The Korean War.
6Reply
Buffy. Puppet masters. MASH. Salute to you good sir. You entertained and made this life a bit more bearable.
10Reply 10ReplyThe pyro in Backdraft...the guy even showed up in Beerfest. Helluva career. 141 films and 42 TV shows according to his Wiki. RIP.
10ReplyDonald Sutherland was easily one of the best living actors. RIP to one of the GOATs 🫡
8ReplyDefinitely an anti-social type. Woof woof woof woof! That's my other dog imitation.
7ReplyIt flies under the radar, but I really liked him as the crooked warden in Lock Up.
6ReplyIs this one actually dead or is this another one where the news has jumped the gun?
5ReplyJust recently watched Virus. Great movie.
RIP
4ReplyI don't know why but of all his movies (I'm 30s) I think of the Italian Job. Great actor though in everything he's done.
4ReplyWhat’s your name soldier?
Number two, sir!
3ReplyI have only seen him in the hunger games so I always think of him as that evil guy from the hunger games
