Sahel hospital evacuated despite Israel saying it would not attack it although at least four people died in nearby strikes
Israel has accused Hezbollah of keeping hundreds of millions of dollars in cash and gold in a bunker under a hospital in the southern suburbs of Beirut, though it said it would not strike the complex.
The Sahel hospital in Dahiyeh was evacuated shortly afterwards, and Fadi Alame, its director, told Reuters that the allegations were untrue.
Israel did not provide evidence for its claim that cash was being kept under the hospital. Instead, it published an animated graphic that purported to show a bunker under the hospital and said it had previously been used to hide the former secretary general of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah.
Remember when they bothered to pretend that Hamas was blowing up their own hospitals because it would obviously be a war crime to target hospitals? I remember that.
In fairness, IIRC that was an American media lie to onboard the public. All I've heard from Israel about it was along the lines of "We don't know about it, we don't doubt it could have happened and we won't investigate."
Remember when Israel claimed that there was a multi-story Hamas command center under the Al-Shifa hospital, even sharing an animated rendering of it, and Biden said he believed it “no question in my mind?” The Israelis destroyed the hospital and found nothing but bragged that they found proof in the form of a gun in one of the rooms.
Remember how that false narrative was believed by virtually every mainstream liberal and the only countervailing voices were the usual (left / local) sources that continue to be dismissed by mainstream liberals?
That's why they evacuated it, they know Israel would bomb it. They've targeted hospitals and abundances in Lebanon before (and Gaza as well, of course).
What a strange thing to announce. Everything Israel says is a lie, but even still, so what if Hezbollah does store it there? I don’t understand why anyone is supposed to care how or where Hezbollah might store cash & gold on their own lands.

Um, what? Anyone with Blender experience could do that. Man, this part of the conflict is gonna be a whole fucking thing in the history books. I wish I was more cynical so I could get over the fact that other countries don't seem to give a shit about the blatant lies and terrorist carnage.
Airstrikes began about an hour later, with strong explosions heard across the Beirut area. One of the strikes hit just in front of the entrance of the Rafik Hariri university hospital, the largest public hospital in Lebanon. At least four people including a child were killed and 24 injured in the strike, and the hospital suffered “major damage” from the blast.
The initial casualty count was expected to rise as first responders continued digging through the rubble for people. A picture of the building struck in front of Rafik Hairi hospital showed a man covered in blood lying lifeless in a bombed-out building.
Yes. Except now it is even more incredible since how the FUCK are they getting away with it! Back then fact checking was much harder and it was much easier to bullshit. Now we have access to unprecedented information and fact checkers and still the same old fucktard tactics work.
There isn't even a cool off period with this. There was a time not too long ago where they would spout some bullshit that would later turn out to be obvious bullshit... and they would wait several years for people to forget before doing it again. But over here they just turned the entire thing into a ritual where they expect us to fall in line and believe it even they know we know it is shit.
Wasn't there that Gazan hospital that they occupied and destroyed and claimed it was legitimate target, because they found box cutters and binoculars? Tools that were totally used by Hamas soldiers hiding under the Hospital..
I mean isn't that where and how explosives are stored? Especially the ones that just blow on impact? Even if military explosives are specifically formulated NOT to explode from small arms fire?
