That instance list is built completely automatically by a crawler, no one approves instances before they are listed. In this case it was removed as soon as we became aware of it. Next time please make a pull request like that one, its much more effective than complaining.

I was a teacher for a private company at 17. I taught kids aged 6-14. A couple of my students I had occasional intrusive sexual thoughts about.

She was 8, which was way below my AoA of 12+, and she certainly hadn’t started puberty. But she was attractive. She made me nervous, I thought about her everyday, I envisioned what we’d do together–she was just like any crush to me, only instead of an adult, she was a kid. But does that really make a difference? She was a person. What should age have to do with love? Eventually shit happened.

They even call it the pediverse.

Lemmy really really needs instance blocking. Yes I know some clients have it but Lemmy itself needs a way to enable users to fully block another instance and all of its communities.

It's a disgusting, terrible instance. Back when I added them to our blocklist and fediseer they even had pedobear on display as if they were proud. They have a MAP community and Pedo memes.

Based purely off this thread and having never seen this instance before now, it comes off as typical LGBT fear mongering and fanning the flames of hatred. Does anyone moderating or from the administration of that instance proclaim to be pro pedophilia? Have they refused to remove pedophilia content? Help me to understand, because right now it just looks like typical right wing jumping to conclusions to spread hate, but I'm open to being enlightened.

The lemmy.ml devs were ok with Nazi instances being on join-lemmy "because people can just choose to join a different instance if they want" (or words to that effect) so it'll be interesting to see how far they take that line of reasoning.

To be completely honest, I'd rather use reddit and have to deal with the shitty client than having to constantly worry about pedos like here on lemmy

Yeah I'm deleting this app now. I love a nice alternative to reddit, but considering how much unblurred porn bleeds through to my timeline with no provocation, I really don't want to run the risk of something truely heinous like whatever is associated with this making it to my Frontpage.
