Partially, but that was before the US government controlled the most powerful military in the world. The idea that whatever weapons civilians could get their hands on would be able to overpower the military is laughable.

A general strike is unnecessary if the factory is gone. At that point the Civil War will become a war of attrition, and autonomous insurgent cells have an inherent advantage in those.

Jokes aside, it's really quite upsetting to see an old man mentally decline so quickly and publicly. I just hope that those around him will usher him away from the spotlight in a dignified manner if it gets bad enough.
Mental decline and/or Alzheimer's/dementia are fucking cruel. It's awful to watch a loved one go like that and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
